Yep just got a copy of this import (rather meh game IMO), but I was shocked and surprised to see those two composers pop up in the credits.

Now I'm trying to hear more of the music (but the "volume" is awfully low and there's no Sound Test option either)

Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up.

WTF is Battle Stadium DON?

Qui-Gon Joe Jul 20, 2006

It's a fighting game that just got released in Japan for Gamecube and PS2 that crosses over Dragonball, Naruto, and One Piece (hence the D.O.N. acronym).  It doesn't look very good, but I think it's really interesting that they got those guys to do the music.  There's nothing else that really stands out about the title.

Are they the only two composers or are there some others?  I'm gonna do a rip of the game and I wanna know who else (if anyone) to give credit to.  This stuff sure doesn't sound like Saki or Iwata so far from what I've been hearing.  Very strange that they would do a game like this.  Must have needed some extra spending money for the summer or something :-p

Ah.. it all makes sense now.  The game was developed by Eighting.  Sakimoto and Iwata have worked with them several times in the past on games such as Soukyuugurentai, Armed Police Batrider, Kingdom Grandprix, etc.

Also, now that I think about it more.. quite a few of these tracks actually do sound like them, especially this first track in my rip.. pretty sure it's Saki.  Decent amount of music in this game too, my rip clocks in at just under 52 minutes.
