Instrumentalist Yoshitaka Hirota (Shadow Hearts) composes a brand new original album with vocalist, Rekka Katagiri: "Kinema in the Hall."

Hirota maintains his dark, foreboding, crooked instrumental skills that made his Shadow Hearts scores popular, his alternative rock style especially; reminiscent in particular of his first Shadow Hearts score.

Rekka Katagiri, though not the vocalist of the Shadow Hearts vocal theme, rather perfectly emulates those vocalists, and fits in well with Hirota's instrumental style.

I love Hirota, and I wasn't too impressed with this album because of the singing. I think the vocals really detract from the overall enjoyment of the disc. Give me an instrumental album with a crazy ass distorted violin playing the vocal melodies and I'd snatch it right up.

Awesome album, I'm a fan of Rekka Katakiri and her vocals mesh well with Hirota's composition and arrangement.
