Hey, I'm trying to get ahold of Guild Wars soundtrack, but I had a question for anyone who actually owns it.  Avatar on the forums here says it comes in a nice sleeve, but a person I've found online says it simply has a slot within the collector's box, and has no separate case or sleeve.  I'm more inclined to believe Avatar, but I'd be getting a good price, and I want it.

Anyone know if there are perhaps two printings, one of which didn't have a sleeve?

Huh, I didn't even know about this.

I simply went to www.directsong.com and got that and the rest of Jeremy Soule's music from them.

The audio quality is pristine and I burned it on to disc and made my own covers and what not from the material they provide you. They basically give you everything you need to make the CD and the covers and the rest of it anyways.

I'm usually a "I like to buy it in solid format" person, but even I can wholeheartedly recommend Direct Song.

I have it and it does indeed come in a sleeve. Well, mine did anyway. Same for the Factions and Nightfall soundtracks.

Thought Factions and Nightfall were MP3 only via DirectSong?

Nope. They have official soundtrack CDs released with the Collector's Edition.

While what avatar! said is true, the MP3 versions of the soundtracks available via directsong, I believe, contain a few bonus tracks each.

Wasn't aware they made Guild Wars Collector's Edition, Guild Wars Nightfall Collector's Edition, and Guild Wars Factions Collector's Edition.  Lots of fanfare for their expansion packs!

True. So the question is do you want to actually own the CD (collector's stuff), or do you "just" want the music?

I want the CDs, but also the sleeves that go with them!  Blast, that means I have 3 more CDs to buy now.  wink

It's just a bit annoying when you have to buy the game, or rather a big ass collector's edition box, in order to get your hands on the cd when you're not at all interested in the game in question.

Yes, but I can understand why they do it. I do hope they keep doing it, because those are good soundtracks smile
Also, the artbooks are cool too!

Yeah it's better than nothing for sure. And with some luck you can usually find the cd up for sale on eBay in any case.
