As a huge fan of the Gyakuten Saiban series (and its music), I recently bought the Gyakuten Saiban 1 + 2 soundtrack.  Today, I went to VGMWorld (which is where I bought it) to purchase the Gyakuten Saiban 3 soundtrack.

They sold out.  This is discouraging because usually, if VGMWorld doesn't carry it, then most other sites (like PlayAsia, etc.) have already sold out.  (Though they all seem to have Gyakuten Saiban 4.  Phooey.)  But I admit that I don't have a long list of video game soundtrack sites that I frequent.

Can anyone tell me the sites that they visit to find music?  If anyone finds a site that sells GS3 I'll be happy, and especially if they can find somewhere that packages it with the bonus disk that comes with the 2007 reprint.  But feel free just to tell me where you go to buy music anyway.  I'll be glad to know for future reference.

Tanomi is a very reputable name, and they've helped produce/distribute a handful of albums even, but they're most likely Japan-only for shipping, so you'd need a middleman/deputy service.

champ_des_pins on ebay has some stock too, but without the extra disc bundled in.

I've used Champ before, but his prices are sky-high.  I would only buy one of his as a last resort.  (Coincidentally, he does sell the bonus disk - but separately and at the astronomical price of $69.99!)

Also, Tanomi's price seems to be a bit cheaper than other sources.  However, I've never had to use one of those middleman services before.  shdwrlm3 posted links to a couple of them above, so I think I'll give one a try.  I took a quick look at the websites but didn't see any fee information.  Are they reasonably priced?  And are they pretty easy to use, for someone whose internet experience doesn't go beyond sites like ebay and Amazon?  Thanks for all the answers so far, by the way!  I promise these will be my last questions. 

I've used Shopping Mall Japan, Crescent Shop, and Celga.com though there are others out there (Rinkya, for example). Since you're presumably just gonna order the GS3 CD, I'd recommend Celga. I love SMJ for auctions, but for web shop orders they charge you $5 (in addition to their other fees) regardless of whether the order goes through. Crescent Shop is great, too, but they require PayPal, and commission would be too expensive (~$20) for such a small order.

Here's the price breakdown if you were to order from Celga (prices will vary depending on their current exchange rate):
$38 CDs + $10 Commission + $2 Bank Wire Fee + $4.70 Shipping within Japan (According to Tanomi's page) + International Shipping to You (which varies, but I recently paid $16 for EMS shipping for a single CD) = ~$70.

Keep in mind that international shipping is the biggest variable. If you choose something besides EMS it's bound to be significantly cheaper. By the way, since Celga charges a flat fee of $10 for orders up to 10,000 yen, might I suggest grabbing the 2008 Orchestra CD as well?

For what it's worth, my recommendation would be to just get the copy from Play-Asia. You'd be saving a good amount of money (less than $50 for boxed airmail shipping to the U.S.), and you wouldn't be going through a middleman to get it. PA's shipping takes about a week, which isn't as fast as EMS, but it is very fairly priced.

Granted, the omake disc isn't included on the PA sale page, but I'd say that the omake is only for die-hard GS collectors and isn't worth the hassle to track down. I had the disc in the past, listened to it once or twice and then got rid of it. The omake disc only has a bunch of SFX, two very short "arranged" (i.e., synth upgrade) songs that clock in at 1:24 and 1:40, and a short piece used for (I think) promo vids for the game. The last track is pretty much the only track worth listening to if you already have the OST, since it's a long one and reprises some of the main themes on the OST in arranged format courtesy of Masami Ueda, but even then I don't think it justifies the price of hunting down the disc on its own. Unless, of course, you really (really, really) want it, which in that case I'd say that the YJ auction shdwrlm3 posted might be your best bet, even though you'll be paying at least $20 bucks more than if you bought from PA.

All right, then, that's what I'll do.  I was lucky enough to get the original orchestra album and the jazz album, too, before VGMWorld ran out of stock, and the Special Blend Mix can't hold a candle to those; I'm not going to spend an extra $30 on a disc full of sound effects.  Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone!  And even though I'm not using one now, I'll keep those middleman site suggestions on file for when I want a real rarity (Actraiser Symphonic Suite, anyone?).
