For the first time, the Japanese release is a big let-down.

If you want to know how good Banjo-Kazooie's music is, see my review on the American release. The long awaited Japanese release of the Banjo-Kazooie soundtrack is finally here, but alas, I am very disappointed to announce that it is not any better than the American release. If you own the American release, here we go again. It seems like a big letdown that Pony Canyon did not give Banjo-Kazooie the special treatment the way it gave "The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time" by releasing all 82 tracks of the game's music on one CD. This is just the American release all over again, but at least it has the liner notes and the staff credits. As such, this album release is okay on that level, but it should have been much better, especially since Pony Canyon's release of Zelda was such a lengthy, satisfying success.
