Gotta catch them all... well, maybe this CD can wait.
Reader review by Jeff Howlett
For those of you catching every Pokemon, watching the show, and buying the comics, you might see this soundtrack as a good thing. But be warned, you really have to be a fan to enjoy it. The set consists of two cds, a Pokemon town map, and stickers to stick on the map showing where you caught each Pokemon. It's a nice package, but the music disappoints.
The first CD has 45 game tracks of tinny, repetitive, simplistic Gameboy music. All the themes are either too happy, or pseudo-scary. The next 151 tracks are about 15 seconds long, and consist of a Japanese person reading details about each Pokemon, in Japanese of course. The last track on the second CD is a techno Pokemon remix of sorts, featuring the in-game growls of some of the Pokemon.
For people who love Pokemon, and must listen to the original Gameboy music, then try to find this CD. For everyone else, it's just not worth it.
