I noticed that the DQ7 Symphonic Suite was 'rereleased' last month, does anyone in the loop know whether this means a SAcd version of DQ8-SS (SVWC-7261~2) is in the cards soon?

I hope so... and re-recorded would be nice. The original didn't have great sound quality.

How about as a single CD without the pointless DQ4 track...

I was doing a search for this subject and came up on this and several other old threads.

I'm very late to that party, but this recording of DQVIII symphonic is atypically flat and bland. The audio straight out of the game itself blows this thing away.  DQ8-SS (SVWC-7261~2))

PLEASE tell me a redo of some sort is going to happen(or has happened.)

There's no doubt in my mind that the ending theme Earth Wind and Sky sounds way superior on the ost, Absolut.

The SS has its merits though, but when you make your cdrs be sure to replace the end theme with the synth version.

Was it? Either way, it was just stupid to put it there and force two CDs (I guess it was in the game, which I never played, but still. At the moment, DQ8 is the only one on the main series I don't have the SS to, and I don't have the OST either...)

make your next purchase the 2004 ost
it could've been fit on one disc as well if they ditched some lamer tracks and didn't include the SE collection at the end, but i think the price has slightly gone down now
