Editor's review by Adam Corn (2019-01-03)

Having seen this indie turn-based strategy game OST recommended I gave a hurried listen to several tracks to hear what the fuss was about, found nothing that immediately struck me, and moved on. That was a mistake. It's a low-key, atmospheric soundtrack, lacking in memorable themes, but with plenty of cool combinations of rhythmic electronic pulses and synth with subdued electric guitar and cello that can be appreciated with a patient listen. The instrumental sound is somewhat along the lines of Steve Jablonsky's Transformers, though less generic than many of the other soundtracks in that style. It's a great OST to work or focus (or, I imagine, strategically deploy giant mecha) to.
