Okay, okay, if this should have been put to the existing PLAY! thread, I apologize. I just got an e-mail telling me about Koji Kondo's attendance in Chicago and thought I should share this news. I am a big fan of his Zelda music, so I could not resist. Soooooorrrry.

I must admit that I would never ever have expected HIM coming to Chicago... as said, he is a kind of phantom to me.

This is just great. The concert in Chicago will be wonderful!

I'm going to take this moment to be bitter that for 23 years of my life, no game music composers came to visit anywhere in America, let alone the city I lived next to.  Of course, during my first year in Japan was a big Final Fantasy concert in Chicago where you could meet Uematsu.  Now this year we have a concert where you'll be able to meet nearly all of my favorite game music composers together, including Kondo (who I can't ever remember making public appearances for fans in either country).

Excuse me for a moment - I need to post to Shimomura's blog and see if I can sit down for a cup of coffee with her to make up for this.  tongue
