I have it and even gave it a spin already. Not exactly the most inspired work from him, sample-wise sounds much like Tales games, but is richer when it comes to composition. It has quite a heavily-used ethnic Japanese flavor to it, so he's definitely trying new things out with his music. No live instruments here at all, though. I guess the game was developed with such a small budget that it didn't warrant the set-up so familiar from Baten Kaitos, Star Ocean 3 and Valkyrie Profile 2. Too bad. Oh, and the battle themes are a major let-down if you were wondering. Still a decent album. If you like Sakuraba, you should give it a chance.

Thanks...It's "under consideration" right now. Actually, I've been a much bigger fan of Sakuraba's non-live instrumental work (read: pre-Star Ocean 3), so that doesn't sound too bad.

What do you refer to? On Sakuraba's non-Tales CDs the tracks don't loop at all. Even more and more tracks on Tales CDs which are normally looped aren't looped anymore.

He definitely did more than half (my last guess is 66 out of 115 tracks). Still while being the longest Tales soundtrack, discounting the loops Abyss is actually one of his smaller recent works.
