The best classic game music and more
Super Sweep will release four albums to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Zuntata. A flyer for this was handed out at the Press Start concert and the CDs will be released by the end of the year.
1. Night Striker & Sylvalion Complete Box
2. Arkanoid DS Audio Planet (composed by Shinji Hosoe)
3. Darius Mix
4. Densho De Go! album
Wow, that's awesome. Any idea about what Darius Mix is? An all-new arrange CD, a mix of tunes from games in the Darius series, etc.
Interesting...Even scary, since I've been listening to a good bit of Darius music recently as this comes up (Darius Twin FTW!)

The Night Striker/Syvalion album will be 3 CDs plus a DVD (disc 3 has arrangements by Super Sweep). The Darius Mix album will also have new arrangements by Super Sweep (Hosoe, Saso, etc.).
Below the 20th anniversary stuff, it looked like they were announcing the addition of some old albums to the iTunes Music Store, so I did a quick search on "Zuntata," and 30 albums showed up. And I know that's not all of the albums up there, because the iTunes-exclusive ones didn't show up in that search.
Actual physical rereleases would've been a lot nicer, but I think it's pretty damn cool that they've put up a huge chunk of their catalog.
Oh yes.
I knew that Hosoe made a good move when he hired TJ Yagi, after Scitron got swallowed up and died.
Making this type of thing is what he specialized in back at Scitron, so now SuperSweep Records can make these types of albums.
I'm buying!
Woah, last time I checked the page I passed over the iTunes Store section, but there's an interesting little jem in there.....
