GoldfishX Dec 24, 2007 (edited Dec 24, 2007)

Honestly, Dewprism's an excellent score as far as atmosphere goes. Just kinda put it on and chill out to it. Just most of Nakano's stuff, although much bouncier and lighter than his other work (at least disc 2).

And yay, more Edguy love! allyourbase, if you can work out the drums for "Lavatory Love Machine" (see below...does the 80's proud!), I'll send you a recording of me trying to howl that one out and see what we come up with. I love Tobias Sammet's voice.

Edit: Ha, didn't see the Dec. 13 postings. Yeah, I was saying to Ashley...I'm getting to the point with power metal where I can tell if I like something on first listen and Hellfire Club was just freaking "whoa" from start to finish (and still is!) and last time that happened was when I dabbled in Dragonforce chaos (and Running Wild's "Masquerade"...but I owned the CD for ages before actually listening to it). Even "Forever" (the type of  slower power metal songs/ballads I tend to skip) was 5-star material. Hopefully, these guys stay together a long time.

I'm happy the packages FINALLY came. That took forever!

Yeah, it was stupid that they shipped them separately (Dewprism took them two days to restock), but then they appear at your door on the same day. tongue

I hope you really enjoy your albums! Dewprism is a super-duper favorite of mine.

Done.  I don't really have any recording equipment to record my playing, but the drums for that song are infinitely easier than "We Don't Need a Hero".  Give me a day, and I'll have it down.

OH, and nice choice with Dew Prism and Black Mages!  I was turned onto Dew Prism about 3 years ago from members of this forum.  Excellent all around.

I finally got time to stop being dead on Friday, and I've been listening to the Soukaigi OST, very generously sent by Shoebonics, pretty much non-stop. I'm not really sure what to say other than "Thank you!", 'cause this is quite awesome.

You're welcome!
Glad you're enjoying it!

Got my gift from GoldfishX today.  Sure it's a month late, but he got me three soundtracks so that more than makes up for it..

Final Fantasy Tactics A2 Grimoire of the Rift Original Soundtrack
Bloody Roar 3 Sound Track
GAME SOUND COLLECTION vol.1 - Jikuu Tantei DD (Dracula Detective)

I only asked for FFTA2, the other two were surprises.  Never heard either one so that should be interesting.  Thanks man, you rock! smile

That's two years in a row it's taken Play-Asia some serious time to ship stuff out for the exchange. Guess they get swamped during the holidays.

Enjoy!

What promo CD? I'll talk to you on AIM about it.

Received my present in the mail today, the lavish 3-disc set of the Samurai Shodown Tenka / SamSho Zero arrange album.

Been listening to the Kusageredo's Beach Stage song from Zero all day, can't get enough of it! I like the ambient crowd noises they added to the beginning of the track, too.

Thank you and Happy Holidays one more time to ya, Zane (and ev'ryone else)!!
