It's bigger and bloodier than the first game. Seriously on the bloodier.

"Oh this is just wrong.  I'm coughing up blood that ain't mine."  Baird kills me. ;)

I'm about midway through Chapter 2 on Insane - and the difficulty is making me weep bitter, bitter tears.  I'm begging to go back to Hardcore now. >_<;

Wuss. tongue (Says the guy who is chickening out on Normal)

I'm basically going through an Act a day and I finished off Act 3 last night. I'm never going to look at hail the same way again...

I'm looking forward to Act 4 tonight! big_smile

Well that means you managed to protect Betty all the way through, so you've already finished the hardest part.

Damn, tell me about it.  There were so many bullshit moments during the first chapter, that I was ready to throw in the towel a million times over.  The Nemacyst/Reaver onslaught to Landown was indeed a nightmare, but I also had a tough time in the Ticker tunnel and the roof-top mortar raids.

I think the thing that surprised me most is that you HAVE to revive your teammates before they die, or it's an automatic Game Over.  I sense major complications during the later skirmishes.....

I never experienced any real problems with teammates dying. Even on Insane, they take incredible amounts of damage before they go down, so that's the least of your worries.

The hardest parts are the vehicle sections, because the damn machines break so easily, and the parts where you have to do something within a certain time limit.

So, anyone planning on purchasing the Dark Corners download pack?

I've not touched the multiplayer in months, so the new maps may not have much relevance to me, but getting to play a new portion of the single-player campaign sounds aces.  Stealth elements during the new mission sounds intriguing.  As Kotaku user Gaunt says: "I did always wonder why Marcus gave Dom the option of going in guns blazing or sneaking in at this point in the story."

Seeing as how I haven't downloaded any of the previous map packs, I went ahead and purchased the "All Fronts Collection" instead -- quite the value for all nineteen maps, plus the new Road To Ruin chapter.  Will at least have impressions on the new chapter soon!
