Has anyone picked this up?  It's a book containing tablatures of guitar solo arrangements for Final Fantasy songs.  It also contains a CD of said arrangements in folk/acoustic style, which members of Gametab's forums have made available for listen:

The album is of decent length, and the songs pretty short in nature -- but the collection of twenty five songs, which spans every canon entry of the series, is truly impressive.  Any CD that collectively houses mainstays Prelude, Final Fantasy/Opening Theme and Chocobo, along with all four vocal tracks under one roof is a feat to me. :)  It's just a shame Vamo' alla flamenco didn't make it; the song's practically made for something like this.

Anyone know where I could order the book?  I've looked at all the major online retailers, but came up with nothing.  I want it just to learn FF6's Searching Friends and Decisive Battle.

Excellent smile

Awesome stuff.  But only one FFVI track?  No "Ronfaure?"

I love "Fisherman's Horizon."  Seems like that song can be done any way, and it's still the best track on the album.

They actually released an audio CD with it, and not just sheet music?! NICE. It's kinda like, we should've gotten something like this earlier; why'd they wait so long?!

I pretty much accord with the tracklist, except for the battle songs; "Decisive Battle" and "J-E-N-O-V-A" really don't come to mind when I think of relaxing guitar music; battle tracks really don't translate well into piano, either. Battle tracks are good for full orchestral ensembles and hard rock, though.

Only Amazon JP has this for sale?! You've raised my hopes, and dashed them all quite splendidly, sir...

Gee, why doesn't AJ send me info about THESE things, considering all the FF stuff I've bought from 'em, and instead keeps sending me info about sheet music for children's songs?

And Bernhardt, unless they've changed their policies, it's actually quite easy to buy from AJ, and they ship internationally. Unless you're worried about shipping costs?

Yes. It's in the works. It's been in the works. It'll happen in one massive sweep, probably in mid-2009 (unfortunately, I know that's a long time away...).

We will be replacing it with a Flash player. So if you can do YouTube, you can do our audio samples.

I always said the way Amazon.com does their samples, and the way STC does their samples now, are both pretty convenient, y'know, with each sample track playing in succession. Let me just say: J'approve!
