Although the people at vgmdb.net don't seem to believe me, the track called "Kidney Stage" on Shooting Battle II corresponds to "Slash Fighter" from Salamander (Lifeforce). Slash Fighter can be found on Salamander ~Again~ (track 12), for comparison purposes.

I'm not sure why Konami changed the name. It's possible that because they used the American name (Lifeforce), rather than Salamander, they felt they could call it 'whatever'. If the name were actually "Kidney Stage", then that would have been listed on Salamander ~Again~. And thus we have an inconsistency.

This is no where near as mysterious as what J.D.K. stands for, but it's mysterious nonetheless.

They swapped the titles of Op. 13 and Slash on Dracula Battle too, as you no doubt remember. Shibata was probably drinking heavily while creating those albums, and no one bothered to proof-read his track lists tongue

Based on what I know (personally) of people that regularly play musical instruments, I can sense some verity in your analysis.

Don't forget the fiasco that is Akumajo Dracula MIDI Collection.  Let's see, they misspell "Stalker" and "Battle of The Holy" as Staker and Battle of The Holly. (Were those spelling mistakes truly intentional, I wonder?)  They reversed the titles for tracks 16 and 17, where Wandering Ghosts should be track 16, and Strange Bloodline should be track 17.  And something that VGMdb hasn't yet reported, they also reversed the titles for tracks 8 and 10. (The Silence of Daylight should be track 8, while Simon Belmont's Theme should be track 10.)

Oh Konami, you so crazy.  (Or can we shift the blame to King Records?)

"Battle of The Holly" might have been intentional, the release date on 220A-7721 was in December, so it was the time of year to be in a christmas mood... (disc 2 track 4)
