certainly sounds promising... I'm wondering if this is any different than the PSX version, except for better graphics, etc? Perhaps, if it's successful, we'll see a new Ogre game...

This is more a remake than a port, so many points are improved or changed. The PSX version had many slowdowns, bad music and frequent loading times, but I hear none of them is presented in the PSP version (I've yet to play the latter though).

I understand better music, load times etc are nice... although I do consider that superficial. Has the plot changed? Different endings, characters, is the storyline more flushed out? Those are more important in my opinion

I tried Tactics Ogre out after playing through FF Tactics and it was kind of disappointing in comparison.  Just didn't seem as polished.

Has anyone listened to the newer PSP arranged soundtrack?

I'm curious if it uses live instruments and how it compares to the original which I believe was just SNES music!
