Been looking forward to Okamiden for a really long time, so that's going to be a day one purchase.  I think I'll hold off on Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky and Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy for a later date; my PSP is about to get some lovin' in the form of Ys I & II Chronicles. wink

As mentioned in the Soundtracks of March 2011 thread, the DISSIDIA 012 FINAL FANTASY Original Soundtrack will be my only potential VGM-related purchase this month.

I'm most excited about the movie releases hitting home.  The Fighter, Tangled, and Black Swan -- all terrific films that I'm looking forward to seeing again.

Unless I have my dates wrong, it's 3DS month! I have been up and down on the whole thing but I think I'm committed to getting it now. I'm going to get one eventually anyway so it may as well be now.

Not quite sure what I'll get with it. There isn't much to choose from. Probably Pilotwings. Maybe Street Fighter but it will be hard to know how that will be until I get to test the d-pad myself. Ridge Racer goes from looking terrible to loads of fun depending on which video I watch. Not sure Namco put the love in there but I may well end up with that too.

I'll eventually be getting the Silent Hill Sounds Box, might have to wait a bit though since I'm spending a bunch on other stuff lately.  VGM concert tickets are so worth it though.

Vagrant Story was released on PSN last night and I bought it right away.  Quite possibly my favorite Square game and definitely in my top 3 of favorite games ever.  Story telling at its finest accompanied by my favorite Sakimoto score and a deep, challenging battle system?  Yes please.  So good I bought it twice!

I'll also be picking up Yakuza 4 on PS3 eventually.  Still need to play 2 and 3.  Same thing goes for The 3rd Birthday, will buy it but I need to replay PE1 and actually finish PE2 first.  Mitochondria this, DNA that, I forgot everything.

The zombie fan inside me wants The Walking Dead: Season One on Blu-Ray.  I'll pick that up when the price drops in a few months.  Great series, will be nice to watch again in 1080p goodness!

Just realized that everything I listed is either dark, gory, and/or violent.  Maybe there's something wrong with me..

Itchy. Tasty. big_smile

Games:
Okamiden (still haven't gotten to Okami yet =p)
Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy
The 3rd Birthday

DVD:
Doctor Who - The Ark
Doctor Who - The Seeds of Doom

I won't be picking up a 3DS right away, but I think a little thing called the iPad2 may be beckoning me...

Dragon Age II looks like the closest thing to a new Suikoden we'll ever get, so I'm excited for that. I know it sounds odd, but DA and Suiko have a lot in common, and DA2's emphasis on political intrigue, and its focus on the rise of one person from nobody to champion over a decade sound super-Suikoden-ey.

Wow... I can't see the similarity at all. Then again, I was sold on the hype of the first DA and was sorely disappointed, won't be fooled again.

March releases: I have no idea which games are coming out. Guess I'm not buying any of them, then? Interested in Otomedius, Space Invaders Infinity Gene and Earthbound Papas albums.

I'm interested in picking up the Razer Onza Xbox 360 controller (which I believe is officially a late February release) featuring analog sticks with adjustable resistance.  Hopefully this feature will make playing first-person shooters on the Xbox 360 more bearable.

I'm going to be ALL OVER the new Dissidia game. The first is pretty much my favorite PSP game evahr, and I'm greatly looking forward to diving into the world of insane over-the-top FF-themed one-on-one fighting again.
From what I've heard, the bad guys get proper stories now too, so there should be a ton of content in here once again. The game is released in Japan today, so guess what I'll be picking up on my way home from work smile

From what I've played so far, it throws pretty much everything of the old games overboard, and introduces an entirely new threat in the form of the Twisted. Maybe it will tie in to the old games at some point (my memory is very rusty as well to be honest), but the word 'mitochondria' has yet to be dropped.

Okamiden is a must have for me.  Although I plan to get a 3DS on day one, I probably won't buy any games for it until the eShop opens in May and I can finally get Shantae.  I think The 3rd Birthday looks pretty terrible, but I might pick it up eventually if it hits $10 or less.  Other than that, I'll just be getting the following CDs:

-DISSIDIA 012 FINAL FANTASY Original Soundtrack
-More SQ
-Earthbound Papas
-SPACE INVADERS INFINITY GENE -EVOLUTIONAL THEORY
-Ayumi Hamasaki/ayu-mi-x 7 -Limited Complete Box-

Good man. I'd certainly like to see a sales jump for that. I know WayForward's next DS-downloadable is something completely different, but I'd like them to get an incentive to return to Shantae ASAP.

March is SUPER BUSY this year:

Already have:
Phantom Brave: The Hermuda Triangle - I wasn't going to bother, but with an Amazon credit it was only $10. Here's hoping I'll have the time and patience to finish it this time.
Pokemon White - I tried getting into the series last year, but it was too slow. This one specifically promised faster battles so once I finish some of these other games I'm looking forward to giving it another try. If this one doesn't grab me though, I'm done.
Rockman 3 Complete Works (PSN) - incidentally, why do Japanese PSOne Classics have a screenshotting option on PSP but American ones don't?
Vagrant Story (PSN) - plagued by slowdown on PSP, but just fine on PS3

Interested in:
Duodecim Dissidia - Now that they've added some characters I actually give a dried fig about, I'm interested in giving this a try. I don't know whether we'll be getting the extra Tifa outfit stateside, so this might be another import.
Jikandia: The Timeless Land - It probably won't be in the same class as Half-Minute Hero, but I'm willing to give it a go.
Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky - I don't think they fully considered how that subtitle would read as an acronym.
Monster Tale - This turned into a full-fledged DS game when I wasn't looking. I liked the concept and the art well enough back when Nintendo Power first previewed it, and now that I don't have to worry about making room on my XL's card, so much the better.
Okamiden - Loved the first, so this was an obvious choice.

Next month will be a welcome cooldown period - there's only two games I'm interested in, and one of them is just a remake.

Far be it from me to not recommend Pokeymans, if you're not into the series by now, Pokemon Black and White will do very little to change your mind. Several of the improvements seem like they were made with the fanbase in mind, and even minor gameplay tweaks, such as somewhat faster, more fluid battles don't do a whole lot to the game to make it more accessible; It's still a grindfest first and foremost (especially if you don't spend a whole goddamn day trading to get all the starter pokemon like I did, so they get boosted exp) and still exceedingly linear for an RPG.

With that said, I'm still having a blast with it.

My friend works at XSeed so I got to hear about their little debates on the title.  Oh, they fully considered it!  And then they decided in the end they didn't give a rat's behind...and it was kind of funny.
