Does anyone know if this song was ever released without the lyrics?  I don't mind the lyrics or anything, I just wanted to hear the melody without them.

Yes, it is called Tina's/Terra's Theme and it's the first track on disc two of Final Fantasy VI Original Sound Version ;)

..haha. Well, I've never heard that the *actual* Toki no Hourousha would've been released without the vocals.

I don't think ANY of the tracks from any of the FF Vocal albums have been released that way.
