*drum roll*

Preorders:
FCCT-0157 | DEVIL SURVIVOR 2 BREAK RECORD Original Sound Track (further delayed)

Interesting:
TKCA-74030 | Kaguyahime no Monogatari Soundtrack (Ghibli & Hisaishi, the classic combo)
N/A | EXSTETRA Mini Soundtrack CD (main theme supposedly by Yoko Shimomura)
CPCA-10322~3 | Monster Hunter 4 Original Soundtrack (not much is known about the composers involved)
SQEX-10392~5 | LIGHTNING RETURNS:FINAL FANTASY XIII Original Soundtrack (third and last part of the FFXIII series)
COCX-38283 | Kyouso Giga Music Collection (Go Shiina finally doing something else than IDOLM@STER)
KDSD-00676 | Reverberation / Kaori Oda (MANYO, with Kaori Oda on vocals)
N/A | Ragnarok Online Elemental Tunes (RO arrange, lots of big names in the arranger list)

The rest:
VPCG-84960 | Shin Rorona no Atelier Hajimari no Monogatari ~Arland no Renkinjutsushi~ Original Soundtrack (remake (?) of the Rorona soundtrack, IMO one of the weakest Atelier soundtracks)
AVCD-55050 | Danball Senki WARS LBX Battle Soundtrack (Kondoh does more Danball Senki)
PCCG-01373 | Outbreak Company Original Soundtrack
SECL-1421 | Kimi no Gin no Niwa / Kalafina (Kalafina is kinda meh lately...)
WWCE-31296~8 | SONIC LOST WORLD ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK WITHOUT BOUNDARIES (me = not the biggest Sonic fan)
KDSD-00675 | Passage / Motoi Sakuraba (he should do another piano album, like Forest of glass)

There is a lot going on this month. Information about who composed for EXSTETRA is kinda sparse and inconclusive, but my hope is that Shimomura did more than just the main theme and that we might get a full release of that soundtrack. Yeah, yeah, I know...

Also, I was thinking about preordering the Lightning Returns album, but nothing I heard from the sampler, trailer, teaser, etc. has really convinced me that it's worth it. So I'm just going to wait and see how it turns out. Which should be no real disadvantage in this case, since the release doesn't feature any kind of limited edition (there is some first print bonus, but I think it's only an ingame item *lol*).

And I'm especially delighted by the fact that Go Shiina has finally broken free (?) from the IDOLM@STER franchise. No idea what this Kyouso Giga animation is about, and if we can expect a new God Eater or Tales of Legendia. Well, probably not, but anyway, it's a nice change.

What do you think about November's releases? Any particular album which you look forward to?

I'm curious if Hisaishi's style is going to change as drastically as the animation has for Kaguya-hime. It looks... weird.

November isn't so bad as far as releases to but December... Oh god December... My wallet has a giant hole in it from all the box sets coming up.

James O Oct 29, 2013

Kinda disappointed there isn't a limited edition type soundtrack for Lightning Returns.

Porter Nov 4, 2013

I have on pre-order FFXIII-Lightning Returns and Elements Garden´s Symphogear G DVD+CD soundtrack vol.2.

04th & 25th DECEMBER will be known as WALLET APOCALYPSE.

The stand alone soundtrack releases for Castlevania: Lord of Shadows and Castlevania: Mirror of Fate were released back on the 26th of November. I knew Lords of Shadow was getting a release beyond it's inclusion in the limited edition of the game but I didn't know Mirror of Fate was... which is kind of surprising considering how "well" that game went over.

Anyway, I know the Mirror of Fate album doesn't have all the music but I picked it up since I haven't gotten a soundtrack since January. Additionally, I probably won't see my Rockman X Box until early next year.

No mention of either BlazBlue Chrono Phantasm or Super Mario 3D World? Boo.

I've had my ups and downs with Blazblue music (a few really cool tunes nestled among many generic ones and incredibly bad/thin mastering for heavy metal), but I'm curious to see if they dropped the bad out of this one and made something solid from start to finish.

Super Mario 3D World is the first ingame soundtrack I've wanted a separate release for in a LONG time. It's just really freaking good. Too bad Nintendo seems to be content with screwing around with people's minds and wallets for this release.

Super Mario 3D World is a January release, not November.  The November date is when the points campaign begins.  There won't be physical CDs (afaik) until 1/31/14.

Was kind of surprised when I got the Castlevania: Mirror of Fate soundtrack today. I was kind of expecting it to just come in a cardboard sleeve for some reason but it does come in a jewel case. However I'm just glad the "Theatre" theme made the cut... I really like that track.

Wish the booklet was a little more robust tho...

TerraEpon Dec 7, 2013

Huh, I completely missed that MoF had a CD release.

Still a bit peeved that LoS 'Director's Cut' is digital only released just after the CD release though. It's almost a middle finger to those who like the music really.

GoldfishX Dec 8, 2013

Got to sample some of the new Blazblue soundtrack. For the most part, they improved it over the original and it's much easier to listen to. Some uninspired generic metal compositions, but there is a ton of good here, mostly the remakes of the older themes. I highly recommend having a look at this one for Guilty Gear/Blazblue fans.

Update:
The Devil Survivor album was delayed again, and it's more or less open when it will be released.

Haven't had much timo check out the albums, only gave EXSTETRA a listen. The main theme is nice, but it seems like it was the only thing Shimomura did. The rest of the tracks are simply atrocious.

LiquidAcid Jan 12, 2014

I also got this album in November, but apparantly never added it here:
OCRC-0001 | For Everlasting Peace: 25 Years of Mega Man

My favorite track is the Spark Mandrill arrange from Sixto Sounds. Still, my absolute favorite from Sixto remains Subterranean Kamikaze (together with zircon), arraging Sewer Surfin' from TMNT4 smile
