My 5-year-old really likes the amiibo that we have gotten. She keeps the Charizard and Mewtwo amiibo in her room.

Anyway, a couple months before her 5th birthday, I had ordered a pink yarn Yoshi from Japan (they weren't available in the US yet). One day, when she was at school, my girlfriend was wrapping up her birthday presents, and the younger one was at home. When she pulled out the Yoshi to wrap it up, our younger daughter got this huge smile on her face, and desperately wanted to play with it. She was instantly attached to it. When I got home and heard the story, I ordered a blue Yoshi so that when her sister had her birthday, she wouldn't try to steal the pink one. At the time, the green one wasn't available, and we wanted to make sure we could tell which one was which, so the blue one was the only option.

Once they came out in the US, I did buy a backup blue Yoshi in case she loses the first one. Like I said, she takes it EVERYWHERE.

I have the normal Samus but I'm sticking to my guns not to buy Zero Suit Samus.

I won't go into why as I made a whole topic about it a while back.

Question. Does anyone know is Duck Hunt Dog is sold separately in Japan? Over here in the states he's part of a bundle and I'm lukewarm about the other characters in the pack.

Yes, you can get all of the retro three pack characters separately in both Japan and Europe.

I picked up Duck Hunt Dog and ROB with some of the gift cards I got. I also picked up Greninja for my one friend since she almost has all the pokemon amiibos.

Can anyone in the EU/Australia territories tell me does K.K. (The white dog with the guitar from Animal Crossing) come in a bundle over there? I want to buy him without buying a bundle but all I'm coming across for a solo edition is the Japanese rendition.

Yes, you can get KK Slider outside of the bundle in Europe. I got mine from Amazon Italy.

Keep making them pay to have it shipped back and replaced.  When it costs them enough money they'll start to pay attention.  I had to have a DVD set (I was giving as a gift) from Amazon resent twice because it arrived damaged.  I barely got an intact copy in time for the holidays.

Anyone pick up Ryu? Not 100% why I wanted him since I'm far from the biggest Street Fighter fan.

I picked up the recolor of the girl inkling. I wanted to pick up the two pack of the two girls that were involved in the last Splatoon battle (their names escape me) but the only one I could find was in bad shape.

Additionally, is it just me but certain chains (like the Walmarts near me) have seem to given up on the whole amiibo thing? When new ones are released the only place I find them is Gamestop. It seems the stores that aren't Gamestop have just had the same stock for a while and don't get the new ones.

Yeah, I'll probably get all of those. I have all of the Zelda ones pre-ordered, but I'll likely let my gf get Boo for me as a gift.

The Amiibos up above came out today. I got 8-bit link.

I was lucky to even get one. I was going to order it off Amazon a while back but completely missed the window. I managed to get the last pre-order at my local Gamestop back in October.

They tried to sell me all this other stuff and I was like "I don't like modern games" and "you're lucky to get this much out of me because I only use Amiibos as shelf candy."

I was immune to the Amiibo thing... until Animal Crossing got the update and now I'm a sucker. In my defense, the Animal Crossing Amiibo are particularly adorable. I want them all.

I don't know a thing about Animal Crossing, but I did pick up K.K. Slider (?), the dog with the guitar. Thing is I had to import it because it was part of a three pack in America; elsewhere it was sold separately.

KK is great, although my dream product doesn't yet exist. It's a KK alarm clock, built into a beautiful KK figure and, every morning, it wakes you playing a random KK tune.
