The Amiibos are due out on Nov. 21 along with Pokemon and Smash Bros.

I'm getting the Samus one even though it's Other M Samus. I will not be buying Zero Suit Samus when ever/if she comes out.

Also want Mega Man but he's in wave three so that won't be coming out for a while.

when they announced wave 3... I was gonna get em all... but at like $14 a pop, it was either all or none.  they'll probably never stop releasing them so none for me.  the only way to win is to not play.... haaaaaaa

I don't even like most Kirby games... I'm still hung up on the original twenty-two years later.

If they give me a Dedede or Duck Hunt Dog I'm in. Samus and Peach look nice too. Its too bad the real version similarly to Link is borked up in the finished model.

Dedede comes out Feb. 28 along Mega Man.

Probably Pit, Pac Man and Megaman, maybe Duck Hunt for the novelty.

A friend of mine said one of the top Smash players (Mew2King) was selling Amiibos that he had trained with. I thought that sounded unique, since they supposedly learn at a fast pace. That will be interesting when it comes to having Amiibos face off with each other.

I picked up Samus, Link, Fox, Yoshi, and Kirby from Wave 1. I've got Zelda on order from Wave 2 and will add Capt. Falcon to the order as soon as Amazon lets me. From Wave 3, I've pre-ordered Toon Link and Mega Man.

I know I am being negative here... but I think this needs to be said:

(P.S. I love how you can't stand people making add revenue off of gameplay footage on YouTube so you do something about it... but when you could do something about pretty much every new amiibo being rare outside of freakin' Bowser you don't. Yes I know this is comparing apples and oranges but I can't stand how you complain about scalpers when the first wave of amiibos should have clued you in.)

Additionally, I would have ordered the things online from amazon but I've been hearing rumors about some sellers sending people Japanese ones and I didn't want to risk it.

I actually specifically got my Rosalina and Lucario Amiibos from Japan since they were way easier than dealing with TRU or Target preorders.  There isn't any kind of region lock on them, and I open all mine anyway (and since a friend of mine was sending me a box anyway, they ended up being cheaper than the domestic versions with the yen being what it is)!

I've found the best thing to do is to check out http://www.nowinstock.net/videogaming/games/amiibo/ and follow @AmiiboNews and @AmiiboInq. I snagged Falcon, Sheik, and Pit for regular prices by doing this, and I could have gotten Sonic, Ike, and Shulk if I really wanted them.

I agree that Nintendo's limited quantity nonsense is massively aggravating and I wish they made more of the less popular characters available, but the above sites and twitter accounts are very helpful when dealing with Nintendo's lousy hand.

So far, so good - by preordering, I've managed to get everything so far.  Of course, I'm currently living in Japan, so a few of the store exclusives (Rosalina and Lucario) have been a bit more tricky - I ended up preordering those two through Amazon Japan instead.  After wave 3B comes through next week, I can stop being tempted every time I see the amiibos which aren't out in America yet here in Japan... until April, when wave 4 hits, anyways.

... I'm totally buying multiple Ness figures, just because.

People get mad at Nintendo for the limited supply, but they are definitely creating demand. My friends are going ham on grabbing these things.

So, smart move Nintendo? I guess...

I got Pac Man... for some reason. Not really a big fan but I was interested in getting him.

For this wave, I got Pac-Man, Wario, Charizard, Jiggylpuff, and Greninja. From previous waves, I have Kirby, Little Mac, Mario, Mega Man, Shulk, Peach, Pit, Pikachu, Captain Falcon, Rosalina, Link, Zelda, Sheik, and Yoshi. I still want Dark Pit, Palutena, Zero Suit Samus, and maybe Ganondorf (along with at least one yarn Yoshi amiibo), but the way these things are getting snapped up, I don't know how much success I'll have.

Not to tell you not to get the ones you don't have... but I don't think you can sneeze at what you already have.

Haven't missed a single one thus far, and I have everything preordered up through mid-July's three yarn-Yoshis.  This is going to become significantly more frustrating once I move back to America after July.

I've managed to pick up SOME of Wave 4 - managed to get Pac-Man and Ness preordered from Gamestop in the states.  While in Japan this summer I've managed to find Lucina, Wario, and Jigglypuff.  Still need Robin, Greninja, and Charizard.  Kirin I still have NO idea how you're managing to get these ordered - I've been doing the search for amiibo on Amazon Japan several times a day and by the time any of Wave 5 or the plush Yoshis showed up they were all out of stock from Amazon itself and just jacked up prices from third party sellers. 

The only Wave 4 one that I wanted that I actually could get was Charizard, but I have an EUR version of Lucina on the way. I'd like to get Robin and Ness as well, but no luck so far.

I had an awesome moment at the mall a few hours ago.

Went into GameStop and they had five Ness amibos!

I didn't want Ness myself but my friend who works at the non-chain store wanted it.

Yeah, they restocked with a lot of Ness units. The GameStop I went to got 20 of them. I grabbed one for myself and was lucky enough to get the last of the King DeDeDe restock they got (they only got four of those). Target got a big restock of Rosalina today, and I've seen Wii Fit Trainer, Pit, and Captain Falcon pop up across various sites, so it looks like some of the rarer ones are being reissued.

Got my preorders in for Olimar/Pikmin, Dr. Mario, and Bowser Jr. last night.  Bring on the next wave!

I feel the same way. I have a few, but I'm glad it's hasn't become one of those "got to get them all" things with me. I've been pretty good at just getting the characters I like or the ones where I really like the poses.

Luckily none of the ones I wanted have been the super expensive ones. I did see the second renditions of some the Gamespot exclusives the other day.

And thanks/curse you for reminding me about the damn yarn Yoshi's. I've been eyeing those as well.

I did buy 2 for a friend though. I don't understand all the hype about it.

I don't either so I don't plan on opening the ones I have. I just think they make great decorations.

Yeah, I think there's probably a decent number of people who don't own a Wii U or 3DS but still buy amiibo, just for decoration purposes.

My 3-year-old carries around her Blue Yarn Yoshi like it's her best friend. She loves that thing.

What is it about the blue one? That's the color I want to nab when I get around to getting one.

Sitting on my shelf strictly for bellezza is King Dedede, Olimar, Shulk, Zero Suit Samus. All I need now are Duck Hunt Dog and Samus and my amiibo collection is done.
