In the second shipment, NCSX had approximately the same quantity as the previous sold-out stock plus a little extra from another distributor.  They sold out in one week, instead of the previous one month.  And now, it's $39.

This game is just like Katamari Damacy: Slow start and then sudden growth of popularity.

Getting the next game in the series is a wonderful sign of the game's rising popularity outside of Japan, yet I still have the feeling that its fate as far as the rest of the sequels go is largely dependent on sales.  So, we all know what we're going to do once "Justice For All" hits, right?  Right, we're all gonna buy up the hell out of the game when it's released!  Promise me~!  ^_^

And, this is just a mock-up, but I think it extremely likely that they'll be using this piece of artwork for the final box cover.  (They just need to squeeze Pearl in there.)  Ain't it a freaken awesome tease?

Already pre-ordered.  And I went back to working on the original.  Just finished the 4th case, so only one left to go.

Also, you owe me $56.30 if I'm not totally satisfied with Ouendan (just placed my order tonight). ;-)

Maybe spoilers for Chapter 4.

ARGH! I'm going through Day 1 of the trial in Chapter 4 and I hatehatehatehatehate Von Karma. I feel like I'm arguing with my girlfriend everytime I press the witness; I barely get three words out before I get yelled at and told that whatever I'm saying is irrelevant.

For good or bad, that's the point.  Von Karma is designed to be the toughest prosecutor in the original 4-case set.  As a result, the decision tree used in the trial stage is very narrow.

Yeah... it's tough to keep from getting frustrated, but I know that once I win this case the victory will be oh so sweet.

Case 4 really bugged me because there is an obvious inconsistency right at the start and if you bring it up any time before the end you'll be penalised. That happens in the other cases too but it really got to me in case 4. That was the flaw in this game - it forces you to be as dumb as the characters. Sort of takes the actual brain work out of it.

Best news I've heard all day.  Congrats, my friend, you are now part of the A-list.

They're easy enough to get around, but I've found this recently-created visual guide to be even more helpful for the early novices getting a handle on the menus for the first time:

Gotta dig that hell-forged voice, though.  Seriously, he made my heart jump when I heard his first objection.

Thanks for the link.  I'll post my impressions after my copy arrives and I get some time to play it.

Just an FYI, Capcom's online store has relisted Phoenix Wright for 29.95, for anyone still searching for it.

And just as fast as it went up, it went down.  Sold out, it did?  Killer.

Without going through the whole topic of comments, what with the potential for spoilers and all, this is a great great game. If people still cared about such things, I'd say 2005 Game of the Year.

Ouedan rocks.  Money well spent.  I've cleared six stages so far and I love the tune in the pottery stage.  So addictive...

Mutant Rat Attack still remains to be my favorite, followed closely by Cleopatra's Pyramid -- both stages are insanely fun on Hard Mode and Cheergirls Mode.

Have you gotten to "Over The Distance" yet?  If that song's final trace ball pattern doesn't get you thinking that this is game design at its finest, then nothing will.  ^_^

Oh yes, and here's the other part of that Ouendan guide, which may not have been obvious from the menu translation page:

Cool, I'll look forward to those.

You can now get PW at amazon.com with free shipping, since they separated from ToysRUs. Assuming you don't have tax on online purchases in your state, that means you don't pay a penny more than 29.99 tongue It seems you will have to wait 1-2 weeks for it to ship, though.

Also Trauma Center is the same deal, in case anyone was looking for it: clicky

I have one thing to say regarding Phoenix Wright:

I WANT TO CROSS-EXAMINE THE WITNESS' PET PARROT!
