Classic Metal Slug music in a modern mobile OST - crisp synth and upbeat melodies intact.

The Metal Slug series has had no shortage soundtrack fans ever since its Neo Geo debut in 1996, but who'd have thought the soundtrack for a MS mobile game would be this good. It's a nice example of bringing classic game music to the modern day, combining some sequenced orchestral instrumentation (far from authentic yet not as generic-sounding as in many soundtracks), occasional hard electric guitar, and most importantly, lots of crisp synth and upbeat, catchy melodies. You won't find anything especially ambitious or mind-blowing, just plenty of fun game music in an album you can listen to from start to finish.
