The last Goemon CD (based on a game) was released about... 9 years ago, no?

I heard some samples online and bought it. It has some new tunes plus some remixes from Goemon's Great Adventure (Deroderodochu Obake Tenkomori). Only bummer is that a lot of the tracks are apparently short.

This is a sad fact about most of the Goemon soundtracks -- excellent tunes but the disc treatment is typically one -- leaving tracks to be very brief, no looping. If I hadn't done my own rip plus the two excellent fan-made rips of both Goemons (5 & 6) for N64, I'd still push for a true double or triple disc treatment for them.

Dero, would you mind ripping and and uploading Goe Goe Spark (02) and Burning My Soul (13), assuming they're new arrangements? Those are the only ones I'm interested, unless track 14 (the longest one after SMILE AGAIN) is also interesting.

Well, in this instance, it's due to the game itself - most pachislot soundtracks are this way. The recent Castlevania pachislot was also pretty frustrating in this regard, as the new tracks had some interesting ideas, but most of them were very short. I recently noted two of the tracks from it over at VGMdb (since they sound very familiar, possibly due to sample reusage), and to me they sound like the work of someone I want to here more of. I'm kind of hoping the same composer worked on Castlevania Arcade, and that we see a soundtrack of that, unlikely as it is:

(this latter one is so reminiscent of X8 that it makes me think of a little pixel-style "ISAAC MAN")

@Dais: my bad, when I said "I bought it" I actually meant I ordered it. I don't have it in my hands yet. But, you're still in luck. Yes, they are all new arrangements (except for Goe Goe Spark, which I'm unaware of). They're all on youtube (not by me though, as in I'm not Sarahsuke).

Goe Goe Spark: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9c-sOnc0 … EF&index=1

(4 songs on the CD have vocals, Goe Goe Spark is one of them)

Burning My Soul (I LOVE this track): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoCCJSuh … F&index=12

The one you're asking about (track 14, the second longest after Smile Again) is a remix of the "Majin Castle" theme from Goemon's Great Adventure. It's a great track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYfMNsf5 … F&index=13

Some of my favorite other tracks:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HzXmSco … re=related - Love the Plasma theme.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qnue204x … F&index=49 - Another great track from Goemon's Great Adventure (with a funny name).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoB1DSsQ … F&index=47 - This is a remix of the "Tosa" theme from Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon (N64).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoAvrRAA … F&index=54 - Another great remix from GGA.
