A long time ago a friend gave me a dub of this OST and I've kept a few of the tracks on hand in my playlists. I'm working on making a list of the songs on that list on Listal but I'm having trouble.

What Guilty Gear game is this soundtrack actually from? VGMbd says it's from the game Guilty Gear XX # Reload but I do not see a game that goes by that name on Guilty Gear's section of Wikipedia. Was XX #Reload a version of another GG released only in Korea?

I'm a little confused. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

That's because all of the XX games are listed on the same Wikipedia page, under the original XX release. Also, the above vgmDB name is incorrect (no space between # and Reload). Korea's XX #Reload is based on Japan's XX #Reload and the Korean music is exclusive to the Korean release.

Oh, I see. It's listed as "X2" but when it's written out on the cover of the game it's XX. Gotcha. Thanks.

Hey, did anyone note that Goldfish X review for this album is quoted on the wikipedia page?

Neat. I'm not 100% sure, but I want to say that phrasing reminds of Chris's writing. Probably either him or Don added that. I have noticed a couple game articles on wikipedia which have incorporated more detailed soundtrack information.

And heh, there I go comparing it to Heavy Rock Tracks. I don't think I gave the Korean Reload album enough credit for sounding as good as it did. From a production standpoint, it's a landmark VGM metal album. I still prefer the classic Ishiwatari melodies overall, but there really isn't a great representation of them out there beyond the original GG soundtrack.

Oh and Sol's Theme in the Korean Version totally steals the riff from the Queen song "Stone Cold Crazy". N.EX.T. kept Ishiwatari's Queen fascination alive!
