Don't know if anyone noticed that they released the soundtrack on iTunes in Japan for $20 a few days ago.  Additionally, the US website for MS7 launched, which surprisingly has the entire soundtrack tucked away in the downloads section.  Sounds like a lack of communication there!

I wonder how many people in Japan will buy it at such a steep price tag before word gets out that it's free on the US website.

Yes, I'm quite confused with this.
The song in the website isn't quite long, just 1.5 loop. But the quality is good (at least, better than directly rip from the game).
Anybody have try to bought this soundtrack in Japan? Is there any difference?

Oh, and yes. Right click and save as... on Flash, anyone? tongue

Yeah that's real bright right there. I also like how the tab automatically closes whenever I click on a track. Oh well, I managed to get it all anyway.

Haha, glad to hear it's not just me.  I was having trouble as well.  Figured it was my browser or something.  Maybe I'll shoot them an email.

If your browser is configured to prompt you for instructions (open or save as) when you click on a link to an mp3 file, you should be fine.

The loop lengths of the songs are the difference.

Scrap Island (Stage 1) on iTunes release is 4:44, while on website freebie it's only 1:46 in length.

Fixed length tracks are the same though, as Melody of My Own Way (Ending) is 2:08 on both versions.

Did anyone else find the DLs excruciatingly loud? I mean, even turning the volume down by half of normal it was painful.

I really think that's relative for one person to another. If I compare it with my other music, this music is quite load and clear, and that's good enough for me.

I don't see anything on the downloads page but a "Coming Soon" message.

Am I missing something or have they taken the music down? sad

Yes, it seems that they've take it down sad
Maybe because some report about right-click for download, or because they now know that the song is actually sold by their japan counterpart.

(no tags, since there weren't any when downloaded and I don't have the OST. as noted, music is by Toshikazu Tanaka)

On the off chance that an Ignition or SNK representative comes by here and sees this and asks me to remove those links, I'll gladly do so - assuming I can get an answer as to why the US release is still two months off when the translation is already done. (hackers found it in the Japanese ROM, along with the European localizations)
