I didn't watch the Oscars, but the inspiration of that time prompts a category for Best Metal Gear Vocal needs to be placed right here on the Soundtrack Central forums. There's now plenty of Metal Gear games which have brought fourth albums out there and has become standard to include one or two opening and/or ending vocal presentation tracks on each game and soundtrack. Because of Kojima's bend for Bond flicks and Hibino's leanings towards jazz instrumentals, they tend to end up jazzy, elegent, classy, and certainly wonderfully performed. What's your pick(s)?

FIRST
"Calling To The Night" by Natasha Farrow (from Portable Ops)

SECOND
"Don't Be Afraid" by Elisa Fiorillo (from MGS3: Snake Eater)

THIRD
"Snake Eater (abstracted camoflauge)" by Cynthia Harrell (from MGS3: Snake Eater)

HONORABLES
"Snake Eater (Japanese Version)" by W.A. (from MGS3: Snake Eater)
"Can't Say Goodbye To Yesterday" by Carla White (from MGS2: Sons of Liberty)

How you can not even mention "The Best is Yet to Come" is beyond me.

Japanese version of Snake Eater, sounds intriguing.
