My local GameStops have their display Wiis setup now with Excite Truck, so I finally got to try the system, or more accurately, I got to try Excite Truck which doesn't use much of the system's features (it uses just the remote and doesn't utilize the pointer function).
About the Wii itself:
-System is petite
-Sensor bar is much smaller than it looks in the pics
-Remote is heavier than I expected, likely due to the batteries
-D-pad is similar in size to NGC's d-pad
-Central A button is smaller than NGC's A button, probably similar in size to the N64's A button
-Remote is easy to hold and has a substantive feel; don't know how it'll feel after longer play sessions
-Rumble is very light (or at least it was with Excite Truck) which is a good thing in my opinion
About Excite Truck
-Clean, fluid graphics
-Difficult to get the hang of since you steer the truck by tilting the remote like a see-saw and since there's no resistance, you kind of have to teach yourself how much tilting is needed to turn varying amounts
-Not a terribly exciting game, but I do like the Crazy Taxi-like bonuses you get for weaving through trees and smashing other trucks
-A very odd choice for Nintendo to demo; I would've expected Wii Sports to be the choice in-store demo title
-Definitely not worth $50; this one's a rental
