Absolutely! Can't you tell? It looks just like me, hahaha.

Just makin' sure!  I don't remember you sending him over, he just appeared outta nowhere!

Stephen Sep 16, 2007

I got Zane's friend vouchers.  Thanks, Zane!  I sent 4 more to you.

XLord007 Sep 18, 2007 (edited Sep 19, 2007)

I added Zane and Stephen.  I'm still playing MP3.  I'm not sure what determines whether or not your name is grayed out.  I thought it was odd that Kenology's name was grayed out when I tried to send him one a week or so ago, and I wonder if it has to do with leaving the WiiConnect24 in Standby Mode when the console is turned off (I only have it on when the system is on to prevent it from making the system hot).  That said, one of my friends sent me a friend voucher a few weeks ago, and unless he just happened to send it during the 20 or so minutes I was messing with the system before starting MP3, it came through.

At any rate, I have several friend vouchers.  I'll send one to anyone who sends me one, assuming my icon ever shows up as active.

Thanks buddy!  I'm kind of on a break at the moment, but with my the weekend and my birthday coming up soon, hopefully I can convince teh wifez0rz to take the baby so I can get some good gaming time in.  I'll send one to you soon!

XLord007's name is grayed out in my game.  I think you do need to leave WiiConnect24 in standby mode.

I'll send some vouchers to XLord007.

I have to say that this voucher system is a pain.  Those dioramas require 2 green tokens each.

I heard about that.  I've kept my WC24 on standby for a month now and I haven't had any problems.  The system is a bit lukewarm when it's on standby, but never hot.

I believe Iwata said that, when in stand by, the Wii uses the same amount of energy it would take to power a small light bulb.

Mine gets pretty warm in standby mode which is a concern for me because I usually keep the system under plastic when I'm not actually playing it to keep the freaking dust off (this house is so dusty and I hate dusting; and yes, I know I'm a freak).  Anyway, before the weekend comes, I'll figure out how many friend vouchers I have to give away, I'll post that number here and turn on standby mode at that time and probably keep it on for most of the weekend.

XLord007 Sep 21, 2007 (edited Sep 24, 2007)

Ok, standby mode is on and ready for Friend Vouchers.

Friend Vouchers Remaining = 8

Friend Vouchers Received:

allyourbase: 1
Stephen: 5

Friend Vouchers Sent:

allyourbase: 1
Stephen: 5

I'll continue to update this thread once a day or so over the weekend and post another notice when I turn standby mode off.

Stanby mode is now off.  If anyone wants any of the eight vouchers I have left, let me know and we can exchange next weekend.

Red HamsterX Sep 21, 2007

I've put off adding my code to this thread long enough, given that I've had mine since launch. I was just too lazy to do anything when I didn't have a laptop in front of my TV and my Wii on at the same time.

My Wii's number is 1741 5565 3814 6789, and I'll be adding everyone in this thread soon.

Unfortunately, I've already traded all of my Metroid friend vouchers, but if I replay the game in Hyper Mode, they'll be up for grabs.

Stephen Sep 22, 2007

I sent 4 more vouchers to XLord007.

I sent Zane 4 more vouchers.  Zane, any chance you still have some left?

Absolutely. I just sent over a few more. Drop me a message if you want some more after that; I still have 5 left.

Kenology Sep 22, 2007 (edited Sep 22, 2007)

I'm still try'na earn some more...  sad

Only 6 hours into the game.

I owe Stephen two, so I'll pay him off with the next two I get.  lol!  And I'll send some more everyone else's way.

XLord007, you're still grayed out on my Wii.

That's weird.  You're showing up active on mine.  Give it another try, I guess.

I added RedHamsterX to my list.

Am I right that some Wii games maintain their own friends list separate from the Wii system, so you have to enter codes again?

Unfortunately, you are correct.

EPIC BUMP!

Not too sure if the codes will be different from the friend codes (hopefully not) but everyone's code seems to be up on here.  Input 'em and wait for Sunday!

Also, just so we have a basis for everyone's time zones, I'm Pacific Standard Time.

Abrahm Mar 5, 2008

Yay for thread necromancy!  Though... I could have sworn I posted my code here.  neutral

Qui-Gon Joe Mar 5, 2008

Whoops... I never posted mine here either.

I won't be around for the Sunday Brawl thing, though!  After that, let's smash.  wink

Idolores Mar 6, 2008

Where do you get your friend code? And how do you properly add people? I tried to add Zane, but nothing happened, and my Miis are getting mighty lonely.

allyourbaseare Mar 6, 2008

Look in your address book.  It'll read your address and then the codes of anyone you've entered.  The thing is, if you add Zane, he has to add you back for communication to work.  At least that's the way it is for the basics.  I'm not too sure how SSBB's friend codes will work.  They'll probably be something similar to that.

I thought SSBB implemented its friend codes in the game, so you have to register people a second time.

Heh, maybe I should actually go into my address book and look for the add! I haven't been in there in a while...

Angela Mar 7, 2008

Right, and now that I'm finally, finally online, here's my code:

2969 3572 2842 8915

I've gone ahead and added everyone up to this point.  Here's hoping for some reciprocatin'!

XLord007 Mar 7, 2008

Alright, Zane, have you gone into your Wii thingamawhatsis, and checked for the invite I sent you?

And if there are no objections, I am going to add you fine folks to my Wii Friends thing.

OH! What time can we all expect to meet on Sunday?

Edit: Okay, everyone on this thread's been added.

SonicPanda Mar 9, 2008

Tossing my code in the pile. I've a Check Mii Out code I'll add later. I made a Ron DeLite.

Yes, it does.  Nintendo's convoluted nonsense is so annoying.
