Heh, I'm suffering from Wii jealousy too!  I also desirest one greatly...
Although I do think it's worth holding on to a GameCube because of the Gameboy Player which can play ALL gameboy games (note that the DS can "only" play GBA games)!

Probably January.  If you're willing to wait in lines, however, I understand that Nintendo will be shipping them throughout the holiday season with the next shipment due on Black Friday.  As always, check with your local retailer about when they will put them on sale.  Mass merchants tend to hold new console stock for ads and what not, so keep an eye out if you want one before Xmas.

During "The Feed" on G4, they said that there would be shipments throughout the holiday season. 
I believe that it said there would be shipments every week, and that Nintendo wanted 2 million Wii's delivered (Don't know if this includes what has already been sent)

I'm also suffering from Wii-nis envy.

I sucks getting the shaft last Sunday.  Hopefully, Nintendo will have shipped some consoles in time for black friday.  I'd hate not to have a system for the weekend.

I probably won't have a Wii until next year... Hopefully, I won't go nuts until then.
