Got my ticket ready for my return trip to Rapture; it'll be interesting to see if BioShock 2 can live up to the lofty expectations set forth by the first game.  Shortly after, I'll be visiting my boy at the prosecutor's office with Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth.  The desire to play through an all-new AA has reached its boiling point, so hopefully Edgey will deliver the goods.  Better Heavy Rain than heavy snow for this last full month of winter.  The title still reeks of highly experimental, but this could be one of the most originals games of the year if done right.  We'll see.

I'm honestly not the biggest fan of the genre, but like The Hurt Locker, I've heard unanimous praise for last year's Zombieland.  It looks like a hoot, so I'll least be giving the home release a rental.  As far as soundtracks (and since I'm opting out of the exorbitant special edition), I'll be grabbing the BioShock 2 Soundtrack once it hits iTunes.  I'm always up for more of Garry Schyman's creepy, elegant work.

Don has reminded me that the Guwange Arrange Album + Original Sound Track is also on its way.  If nothing else, the arrangements set forth by highly prolific composers such as Naruke and Yamane may alone be worth the price of admission.

wow, i completely missed this announcement! i didn't like the mushihimesama arrangements, so i hope this one will deliver, like the last DDP arrangements did.

I'll probably pick up Zombieland at some point, but on DVD. The movie is very funny.

For soundtracks, both of Bear McCreary's releases (Dark Void and BSG: Razor and the Plan) will be mine. Also, the Dragon Quest IX Symphonic Suite.

Waiting for reviews on Heavy Rain. Indigo Prophecy was fun for the first few hours but the story soon fell apart and left a bad taste in my mouth. Also, maybe BioShock 2... but I never even beat the first game.

i'll get White Knight Chronicles and Heavy Rain this month for games.

OSTs:

Guwange Arranged

SonicPanda Jan 31, 2010

Edgeworth, Metal Slug XX, and maybe Shiren the Wanderer for Wii. I briefly considered importing one of the NMH HD remakes, but since they've been pushed to April, that's off the menu.
There's also a rumor going around that MM4 hits Virtual Console this month. MM Powered Up on PSN would make a nice parallel release, Sony. Also, where's Cave Story already, Nintendo?

Harumph.

Forgot about Zombieland even though I saw a TV spot for it. Yeah, I'll be picking that up. Double tap.

once again i'll be purchasing absolutely nothing... cramming as much as i can on the mortgage.

Dijon Lennon... the top selling sub if ben and jerry had opened a sandwich shop instead of going into ice cream...

Qui-Gon Joe Feb 1, 2010

Probably nothing for me.  I will likely be making a down payment on a home in the very near future, so I need every extra dollar I can scrape together.

allyourbaseare Feb 2, 2010

White Knight Chronicles and that's it for now.  If it's half as good as Dark Cloud 2, then it should be a blast!

Boco Feb 2, 2010

Not sure if my funds will hold out, but I'm hoping to pick up:

Games:
-Ace Attorney Investigations
-Bioshock 2 (Limited Edition)

Soundtracks:
-Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu Black Label OST
-Guwange Arranged & OST

Movies:
-Halo: Legends
-Zombieland

There are a couple other things I'd like to pick up. I doubt I'll even be able to afford the stuff that's already on my list though. XD

I wasn't aware they even released MM3 yet.
MM2 was released several months ago and then all suddenly became quiet...

As for me: Bioshock 2, and that's it.
Greatly looking forward to this one, as Bioshock was one of my favorite FPSs EVER.

Heavy Rain can go suck an egg.
Fahrenheit was an original concept but ended up being tremendously boring as a game, I expect Heavy Rain to be the same.

Pellasos Feb 2, 2010

forgot to mention:

Lunar on PSP

Ace Attorney: Miles Edgeworth. on DS

i just hope my wallet will survive this month.

Not to burst this collective bubble, but I believe the game was pushed back to early March.
