Just two this month.  Was able to check out Inception on Blu-ray over the holiday weekend, and more than the picture quality, I was positively blown away by the sound design.  No other movie's going to outclass the sonic superiority of this bad boy this year, guaranteed.

And then there's The Town.  Really dug Afflick's second directorial outing, and I'm curious to see those twenty-three additional minutes featured on the Extended Cut.

Wow, they're finally releasing an OST for Opoona? Game has an excellent soundtrack, but I've gotten rather accustomed to the gamerip I received some time ago. I'd have to take a look at the tracklist, and see if they're including the whole thing, and how long the tracks are.

I want to get the OST for Sonic Colors, but SEGA's really getting pompous with a $50 price tag; that's as much as the game!

There are several things I'd love to get, but buying Christmas gifts is easily going to put me in the red. Sooo... I think it's going to be a pretty light month. I'll still try to pick up the Inception blu-ray though. Kind of sad that I missed out on the collector's edition as that looked really sweet.

Persona 3 Portable Voice Mix Arrange:

Sanodg and MEGA arranging Persona 3 music = insta-win. The tracklisting is solid. I might be getting that one as a gift, so I may or may not purchase it this year.

I just snagged CDJapan's last first-press copy of the 3rd Birthday soundtrack. Boy, was that exciting.

Holy crap The 3rd Birthday OST comes out this month?  HAVE to get on that...

And will probably get Opoona.  And Mario All-Stars for Wii.  That's probably about it.

I have the Tron Legacy soundtrack preordered and, this month, I'll basically be buying everything with the Tron logo on it.

The soundtrack's been leaked for weeks now.  I like what I'm hearing, though I think many will agree that it's a lot less 'Daft Punk' than expected.  The electronica elements are reined back a bit to give way to a more prominent, orchestral-cinematic feel.  I totally dig the main theme, as first heard in Overture and The Grid.

I fully intend to watch the original Tron before the 17th.  It'll be my first time ever seeing it, and if it's cool with you, Jay, I'd love to tag my impressions in your official Legacy thread.

I saved some money for this month, since a lot of good stuff (primarily VGM) comes out:

I totally spaced out, but in addition to Inception, I'll be picking up the Tron: Legacy Soundtrack as well. I've also had Sound Horizon's 7th Story Marchen pre-ordered for a while now (limited edition, of course!).

Oh yeah, totally forgot about Sound Horizon. Probably because I ordered it in September...but that's on the list too.

Gamewise, the only thing I plan to get is Super Mario All-Stars (Wii).  I don't care if it's a lazy cash-in.  I'm a sucker, and I'm buying it.  If Amazon has any more of its amazing deals, then maybe some other stuff (still waiting to get Castlevania and Black Ops).

Yeah, I'd be curious to hear what you think of the original. I can't possibly be objective about it, having loved it as a child, so I have no idea how it holds up. On last watch, I found some of the effects to be hard on the eyes (the rotoscoping on the suit light effects wander, making it a little weird at times) but I loved the action and especially the story, which seemed amazingly prophetic, given where computers ended up.

I'm so hyped for the sequel. I haven't been this hyped for a movie since Star Wars episode 1... oh... that didn't end well.

It's a sequel? I figured it be a stand alone story that (would obviously) take influence from the original.

Well, if anything, I got to give you props on being honest here. A lot of fanboys (fangirls? are there any female SW fans outside a movie buff like Angela?) wouldn't admit Mr.Lucas is capable of crafting such a disappointment.

Yep, it's a sequel. Given how long it has been since the original, I imagine they've made it to stand alone without prior knowledge but it does feature characters from the first one.

I'm a casual Star Wars fan at best.  I enjoyed most of the movies well enough, but I don't think I'll go out of my way to see spin-offs like The Clone Wars, or play or read any of the subsequent video games and books.
