A relatively lean month to start off the new year.  I've been waiting to play Ghost Trick for the longest, so that's a day one purchase.  I'm still teetering between the standard and Collector's Edition of LittleBigPlanet 2; that Sackboy plushie would look so adorable hanging off of my bag. wink  Making it a priority to finish up the first Dead Space this month, so depending how much I end up liking it, I may consider Dead Space 2.

Those Akumajo Dracula Tribute albums look intriguing, coming in separate Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 flavors, as well as a bundle pack.  Looking forward to hearing TECHNOuchi's rendition of Bloody Tears, Soyo Oka's Requiem For The Nameless Victims, and Hiroki Kikuta's CV1 Ending Theme the most.

Lean month for me too:

CD:
I'll be picking up the soundtrack to that DS remake of SaGa III (I liked the SaGa II one) - the game probably won't make it over here either.  This is also my chance to pick up legit copies of the Parasite Eve I and II soundtracks, I've got that box set pre-ordered too.  I'm intrigued by those Akumajo Dracula tribute CD's too, but probably won't pick them up.

Games:
Just Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded.

Movies:
Nothin on blu-ray - since Inception nothin's wowed me enough to want to buy it for home enjoyment yet.

DVD:
Just the usual Doctor Who related releases - Sarah Jane Adventures complete 3rd series set, and Troughton's 2nd Doctor's "The Dominators", and Tom Baker's 4th Doctor's "Meglos".

I think Ghost Trick is the only game I have to worry about this month, though I'm getting two copies (one for myself, and one as a belated xmas gift for my sister).  I'll also try to get the following CDs:

-SaGa Battle Track Compilation
-SaGa 3 Jikuu no Hasha: Shadow or Light Original Soundtrack
-Akumajo Dracula Tribute Vol.1
-Akumajo Dracula Tribute Vol.2
-Akumajo Dracula: Harmony of Despair Original Soundtrack

Herrkotowski Jan 2, 2011

Game Music (Purchased or Given as a Gift):

Akumajo Dracula Tribute Vol. 1
Akumajo Dracula Tribute Vol. 2
Akumajo Dracula Harmony of Despair Original Soundtrack
Gradius Ultimate Collection
Another Bible Original Soundtrack
Operation Ragnarok Remix powered by SamplingMasters

(from December Comiket79)

Nanosweep11
Overdrive Hell 4
Megalomachia2
Touhou Gensou Shiten 5 "Fable"
GeOnDan Rare Trax Vol. 2
Twinkle Link

Thankfully, most of them are to be given as gifts.

That's about it for me in January.

Definitely:

Akumajo Dracula Harmony of Despair Original Soundtrack

Maybe:

Girls Make The World Go ’Round-SEGA Vocal Traxx-
Parasite Eve I & II Original Soundtrack Limited Box (all depends on the packaging since I already own the amazing DigiCube PE1)
SaGa 3 Jikuu no Hasha: Shadow or Light Original Soundtrack
Akumajo Dracula Tribute Vol.1 & 2 (need to hear first, I don't trust these kinds of albums lately)

Can't afford right now but will try to grab later:

GRADIUS ULTIMATE COLLECTION (hoping it'll be like the Dracula box and Amazon Japan will have it for half price soon)

This is Konamistyle only so there is no chance Amazon will sell it. Silent Hill one will be distributed more broadly though.

Ah damn, missed that.  Forget the Gradius Box then, I won't pay full price for that.  Maybe I'll see it for cheap on YJA or something down the road.

Now the Silent Hill box, that's another story.  It'll be mine no matter what!  (Even though I already own 7 of the 9 discs..) big_smile

I have to delete his tracks when I make play lists or compilation cds. Intolerable repetitiveness.

I'm getting:

SaGa 3 Jikuu no Hasha: Shadow or Light Original Soundtrack
Akumajo Dracula Tribute Vol.1
Akumajo Dracula Tribute Vol.2
Akumajo Dracula: Harmony of Despair Original Soundtrack
Distant Worlds music from FINAL FANTASY Returning home

Of course, I'm waiting to see who else is going to stock the Dracula albums, so I can order them with the stuff I want from December. Hopefully, CDJ or Otaku will stock them. Both the Square albums are easy (easy to find) purchases, so I'm not worried about them.

The only thing I'm certain I will be picking up is The Last Story.
There's not much else that carries my interest this month. I might look into Dead Space 2 if it will promise not to kick my ass as much as the prequel did.

Bernhardt Jan 4, 2011 (edited Jan 4, 2011)

I want to be optimistic about

SaGa 3 Jikuu no Hasha: Shadow or Light Original Soundtrack

but SaGa 2 had me disappointed at first, then EXCITED, and then back down to disappointed.

The synth just really, and I mean REALLY grating after awhile, and I had my own personal preferences as to how some of the pieces should've been arranged.

I f.'n hate DS synth.

I also want to be optimistic about the

Akumajo Dracula Tribute

albums, but...ehh...I don't know. Remember those Rockman Arrange albums released recently? Y'know, the 25th or whatever anniversary arrange albums? Yeah. Guess I'll just wait for word on those albums first.

Let's see...I've picked up/reserved Ghost Trick, Prinny 2, and LBP2 (and 2010 leftovers NieR and 9 Persons, 9 Hours, 9 Doors) so far, and I'm seeing whether the budget can take Dead Space 2 (of course, I still have to finish the first, but that's par for the course with me). I'd get Re: Coded except I still haven't put much time into Birth by Sleep yet. ilomilo looks good as well, but good gravy, I hope you can turn that music off.

Is

SaGa 3 Jikuu no Hasha: Shadow or Light Original Soundtrack

supposed to be a remix of the Final Fantasy Legend III soundtrack?

A.Stealth Jan 31, 2011

Nothing as of yet.  No money sad.  I will definitely be buying Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on the release date.

I don't see why that wouldn't be the case - it's a remake of that game.

Just got in the Parasite Eve I and II box set OST's... Aya's rather... scantily clad in the box art...
