Wow, I wonder why they didn't announce this stuff during the conference?
Ha! Much like the 360 and WiiToo controllers, this one has a home button.

There seems to be plenty Nintendo related stuff not mentioned in the conference. Nintendo's Japanese E3 page has nice videos.
(Edit: added a couple line breaks for Ryu) I'm personally intrigued about the new Starfox game for DS which is apparently being developed by some staff which originally worked on the never released Starfox 2 for SFC.

Having sat through four press conferences on my laptop since last night, I have to say that Nintendo's was much shorter than Sony and Microsoft's. I guess they really wanted people to focus their attention on the core aspect of "feeling" the games through the new controller.

Starfox DS was shown during the conference though.
I'm really loving Nintendo's current d-pad make. I'm glad the Wii has adapted the Micro/DS Lite's style.

Ok, that classic pad....now THAT, I like. A lot. That makes me wanna buy a Wii just looking at it.
For the price, we should all get Wii...then we can come up with Wii jokes...actually, I'm already getting tired of having to differentiate between Wii and we (hehe, yeah yeah I see where this can go, still not as good as Angela's bongos, but anyway) I think I'm just going to call it W from now on.
cheers,

Hm, I don't think referring to it as Dubya will appeal to me, at least. At least online, it's rather easy to distinguish between "we" and "Wii." Since I've finally broken myself of verbally referring to it as the Revolution, I find myself saying "the Wii"---that at least helps distinguish it from the pronoun 'we'.

Oooooh....I like it. I agree with, um, the person who posted right before me. *points up* I really like that controller. It makes me want to fondly play with it....
Okay, before this post degrades any more than it already is....
I'm not so sure about the placement of the analog sticks, though. Things like this make me wonder if they actually playtest their hardware, and if so, if they playtest using real people with real limbs. The PS2, GC, and Xbox sticks are placed further apart and I've had little trouble with that distance. I guess I'd actually have to use the Wii controller before making a final decision.
And what the heck is the "home" button for? <-- doesn't usually follow info about consoles
As for differentiating Wii, I've always said "the Wii." Not-so-funny thing is, I've gotten rather used to the name. Doesn't mean I won't stop appreciating jokes about it, but it's starting to sound more natural. Though I probably will never be able to stop myself from saying, "Weeeeeee!!" when playing certain games. ^_~
Kinda wonder why they didn't put the analog stick on a prong, like the middle part of the 64 controller, you know? Well, maybe later. Nintendo loves their revisions.
Two analog sticks at the lower end? Such a dual shock rip-off! They totally stole that. Where do they get off! They may have well just slapped a Nintendo logo on a PS1 pad...
...and so on...
You see where I'm going with that...
