Too bad it's a MMO, since I don't play MMOs. However, I still love the cinematics and music

The problem with this game is that the trailers are all gorgeous CG short films that have absolutely nothing to do with the actual gameplay of the title.  BioWare is promising its ass off that this will be more than just a Star Wars version of WoW, but I'm finding that very hard to believe, especially when viewing the actual gameplay videos.

I'm guessing if it was a Star Wars version of WoW it would finanically do quite well. BioWare has a history of producing top-notch games, so the mere fact that they developed this has many people excited. Also, as long as Lucas did not have interfere in the game, that will be an added plus. I do love the CG short films. I hope they will one day be collected on a DVD (or BluRay, whatever)!

Yes, but it was a Star Wars version of EverQuest since there was no WoW at the time.  They are actually wrapping that one up at the end of the year (each server has a last fight to determine which side wins with good and bad endings being made).  It got off to a rocky start and was never well liked beyond its base, but it must have done well enough to sustain itself considering how long they've kept it running.
