In really excited for this game. I'm also equally excited for Hyrule Warriors, which I specifically bought a WiiU for.

Hopefully this comes out here but given the poor reception Dragon Quest games get over here I have my doubts...

I haven't played a Dragon Quest game since Dragon Warrior I on NES (thanks Nintendo Power) but for some reason this appeals to me more than the Zelda DW game.  More character in the character and enemy designs I think.

Would be interested to hear what they do with the music as well!  I doubt Sugiyama would compose for it but simply arranging previous DQ themes could make for a fun audio experience.

Maybe they'll port it, surely it can't be that hard to localize.  Too bad about the region locking.  (Edit: Never mind that!)

Huh? What region locking? PS4 and PS3 are by default region-free for games. It's technically possible to implement a region lock, but it's very rare that any publisher will do so.

Looking forward to this game, really do hope that Dragon Quest will see a new localization push now on PS4.

I'm excited for this too. It even has Jessica, who is basically my favorite DQ character. DQ VIII is the only one I played, however.

Ack my bad, I had gotten it in my head this was for Wii U as well.

In related news, yea it's on PS3 and PS4!  Will definitely be considering this one.

Or maybe a PSN port of PS2's Dragon Quest VIII at the least.  I'm surprised they haven't done that yet.

Yeah, that would be really nice too. Ni no Kuni is beautiful on PS3, and while a straight DQ8 PSN release wouldn't be native HD, it should still look very good. And it's been too long without a traditional Dragon Quest on a home console.
