Tekken 5 is finally getting its soundtrack release. Wooo!! Now it makes sense as to why the release kept getting delayed and cancelled and delayed and cancelled again.

Does anyone know who's composing? I'm assuming the pseudo-normal Miyake/Sano/Okabe team, but I'm usually wrong about everything, so feel free to inform and correct my statement here.

Another thing is that Tekken 5 was originally going to be 2-discs, but now everything is crammed onto one. I'm not sure how I feel about that; I'm hoping the "ending" songs will only be 20-30 seconds max, but with my luck they'll be 4 minutes long while each stage theme plays for 9 seconds.

This came in the mail yesterday, and I am very pleased with the way Tekken 5 was handled. The stage themes hang around 2-3 minutes, and the endings are all very short... most being about 20-30 seconds long. And add to the fact that this disc is absolute hot fire and you have yourself a great soundtrack. Well worth the wait. I still haven't checked out the DR disc yet.

I wouldn't say it's great or anything, but I like listening to the Tekken 5/DR OST and it was worth getting.

Bumping with some extra info for those who are interested in this album set. The DR OST is full of remixes of the Tekken 5 OST, which makes for some very interesting takes on the original tunes. It's kind of like an OST and arrange in one!
