There's a little ad for it in the Square booklet from TGS - thought some of you might want to know!

Any good old-school Mario remixes or arrangements? If so, I'm game.

Like, one.
Uhh, I haven't read anything about this particular gamesoft, but it just seems way too odd and strange to see that S-E will be publishing a Mario OST.. (and a Mario game itself for that matter... it's like.. un-natural or something)
The remix of the Bowser castle from Mario 1 is killer. Outside of that I found most of the music pretty unmemorable. :\

Super Mario RPG.

Boo.
Anyways, TerraEpon, Super Mario RPG fits the first requirement but not the second. Square was supposed to publish the game, but Nintendo decided to publish it itself at the last minute (or when they realized that it was gonna be a big hit).

I'm pretty sure Square published SMRPG in Japan while Nintendo published it in America.
Are we talking about the game or the soundtrack? Square did the soundtrack release for Mario RPG, and isn't Nintendo the publisher for Mario Basketball?
Square released the soundtrack to Super Mario RPG under NTT. Publishing, Square developed Super Mario RPG and Mario Basketball 3 on 3. Nintendo, however, published both titles.

I think there are two... the SMB1 fortress music, and the SMB1 underwater music.
I think.
Looks like there are several old-school tracks. QGJ says the original material is unmemorable... any other opinions?
And wha's up with tracks 1 and 25 being co-composed by Kondo and Kaneoka?
GMR and Chudah's Corner rock my socks.
