The GTA4 exclusives and Sega XBLA stuff were all revealed before E3, so those items weren't really new.
I couldn't watch the Sony and Nintendo conferences since they occured during the workday, but from the video clips I've been able to piece together, at least there was some interesting stuff going on.
Sony didn't show sales charts for the obvious reason that its getting its ass handed to it by Nintendo and MSFT and that's not exacty something it wants to highlight.
I'm happy that Sony finally admitted to the new PSP, even if this "redesign" is nearly identical to the original with none of the rumored onboard Flash ROM that we were hoping for. That said, it does have a video out and it'll be released in time for Dracula X, so you can bet I'll be all over that.
I'm also pretty impressed with The Agency. I've never been able to get into online games, but this one sounds pretty cool, assuming SOE can pull it off (and I have serious doubts about that based on their previous titles).
Assassin's Creed doesn't look like it's evolving at all which is a disappointment since it looked so promising last year. Hopefully they've got some better stuff they're not showing us.
Too Human still looks rough; why can't Silicon Knights ever meet a deadline?
Mass Effect looks pretty cool from the trailer, but Bioware can't make clean code...
Getting to Nintendo, Wii Fit is the megaton. This is going to bring them so much massively good press, not to mention the sales once the thing lands. It's a pity they can't have it out in the U.S. by Christmas. I doubt the non-gamer demographic that Nintendo wants really gives a shit about Smash Bros., though Mario Galaxy might appeal to them at least a little bit.
Mario Kart Wii looks like crap. I'm sorry, but it reminds me of Double Dash, and that was one of the worst MK games. Hopefully it just looks that way and will play more like the godly Mario Kart DS. And the wheel attachment was already lame when whichever third party released it last year. Why is the big N bringing it back? The Zapper attachment will probably be more useful, though Kohler doesn't seem to be too taken with using it for Umbrella Chronicles (though that could simply be because UC's sensitivity is still insane -- watch any video and see those cursors jiggle like crazy!)
Professor Layton is heading stateside this year, and that's lovely news. More sweet adventuring on DS!
Finally, the much anticipated MGS4 trailer... how do I put this? I absolutely adored the first couple MGS4 trailers. They made me want the game very badly. This trailer turns me off since it reminds me of how absurd the MGS2 stuff was. I am so not interested in seeing Vamp/Raiden drama, and I don't care much about Liquid. Sigh... I was really hoping they'd keep that stuff to a minimum and focus on the much cooler new stuff they talked about in the original trailers. At least it still looks beautiful.
