Amazingly, this was stored as ADX on the cart.  Sorry 'bout the sound effects, but they don't get in the way too much.

Sorry if this or anything like it has been posted before.  I haven't been keeping up with Children of Mana media.

Also, according to the chunk of sequenced BGM (which I can't make heads or tails of), there are 33 BGM tracks.  I hope an OST is released.

Wait, wait. How do you find out about stuff like this?

I rip it from the game data.

I create my own headlines. :P

So, is this something you do with every game you buy/download? Is this ADX something that turns up in DS games a lot?

Wanderer Mar 2, 2006

Wow... how did they fit this on the cart? yikes

Amber, as always is my goddess.

DS games are pretty big. IIRC, they can get larger in size than a single CD (don't quote me, might in fact be someone confusing the bits and bytes iisue)

Yep, usually. smile

I haven't really had a reason to poke through DS games, but Children of Mana seemed interesting, so I tore it apart.

The card is 64MB, btw.  512Mbit game.  Can't wait 'til it comes out in the USA. :\

TerraEpon: Yeah, you're confusing megabits and megabytes.  One megabyte = 8 megabits.

Naw, it wasn't ME who was confusing them...I read that they could be as large as 1GB (!), but I think it's more likely that it's 256MB...

The biggest DS cart I've heard of is Metroid Prime: Hunters at a whopping 1 gigabit (which equals 128 MB, if I remember correctly...)

I can't believe any companies still use "bits" in regard to game storage sizes.  Feels like we're talking about a Genesis game or something neutral
