I've been looking at CD Japan, and RPG Fan's soundtrack samples, and I see that none are offered for Heroes of Mana.
In which case, can anyone here tell me about this soundtrack, or otherwise slip me some samples?

If you like Shimomura's other work, particularly Legend of Mana, you'll probably like this. (I personally enjoy the game too, though I can see why people get irritated with the AI and grid system and such.)
Personally I was pretty disappointed by this OST. One of the things I love about Shimomura is that, at least in my opinion, her soundtracks retain their own identity quite well while still definitely sounding like her work. Heroes of Mana sounds way too much like Kingdom Hearts, and lacks too many memorable tracks. I'm okay with KH, but I like that KH sounds like KH. If anything, I hoped that Heroes of Mana would sound a lot more like Legend of Mana. Oh well.
I'm inclined to agree with Qui-Gon Joe that the album isn't very original and has a lot of Kingdom Hearts / Legend of Mana rehashes. However, it is a strategy game so it was a bit limited in the first place and there are lots of stand out stage and battle themes. Overall, though, it's a solid enjoyable soundtrack but nothing revolutionary. If you want a full review, SEMO is where to go.
I really enjoyed the Heroes of Mana OST. It's a welcome relief after years of her being chained to the KH series.
