It seems like Norihiko Hibino has pulled out all the stops for the Sekaiju no MeiQ II Super Arrange Version. Whereas the predecessor was quite a straightforward album with a few guest arrangements, this one has an all-star line-up and a tonne of diversity. I think this definitely has the potential to be the best arranged album of 2008.

I'm surprised how much I like the samples for most of the tracks on this one. I like having VGM releases I'm actually excited about. Only stuff I didn't care for were the later Labyrinth tracks, which sound like they in a hurry to get nowhere. But the rockers definitely sound like they have potential and the orchestral stuff is nice.

Album sounds like an improvement over the first. HMV Japan has the samples up -- I'm particularly excited about Track 6, done by the impressive "H." group.

The album is absolutely amazing. Definitely an improvement over the first. Hibino and H. definitely make the best arrangements on this album, although everything is absolutely wonderful, even if some are rather straightforward. Highly recommended!

Are there any vocals?

Yes, there are vocals.

Rebecca Evans reprises for "Labyrinth IV - Cherry Tree Bridge." I think she does a fantastic job in this one. It goes well with the arrangement. I didn't think she was as good in the first one.

Jeff Curry's arrangements also feature vocals. Not a big fan of the vocals in those, but I do enjoy the music behind it.
