I was apprehensive about getting EBA after I saw this, but a kind angel(a) was gracious enough to give me the gift of EBA this Christmas and I'm hooked! I've played and beaten everything up to, but not including, "Let's Dance" and "The Anthem" on Hard Rockin' in a glorious marathon of gaming this past weekend.

In the past, I've always had trouble with fractional beats (damn you, Rhythm Tengoku monkeys!). However, I've found that I'm not having too much trouble with them in EBA because of the more accurate control afforded by the stylus. There's certainly no way I could have gotten this far using my thumbs alone.
That said, those nasty beats at the beginning of "Let's Dance" on Sweatin' usually result in me tapping the screen randomly and hoping for the best. The beginning of "Canned Heat" on Sweatin' took a little getting used to, but once I got the pattern down I could do it flawlessly. In fact, I found it even easier on Hard Rockin', because the markers appear right when you should hit them, instead of all at the same time. I haven't tried "Let's Dance" with the Divas yet, but I imagine it won't be pretty.

Same here. Hard Rockin' was intimidating at first, but once I got used to the faster speed it was hard to go back to Breezin'. I felt like I was waiting an eternity for those circles to hit the markers.

My problem has been with my shoulder. It hurt like hell after 3 hours of trying JJF on Sweatin'. I can't wait to relive that nightmare on Hard Rockin'.

"The Anthem" is my favorite to play for now, with "Material Girl" a close second. Maybe it's because I have the patterns burned into my brain now, but I also enjoy "Jumpin' Jack Flash" a great deal. In terms of scenario, I'm a sucker for the sappiness of "The Inspiration." And, despite it being a blatant rip-off of a final scenario from a certain other rhythm game, I loved the togetherness of JJF.
So, I loved every bit of EBA and I'm very much considering getting Ouendan. Are there any significant gameplay differences I should be aware of, aside from the ones already mentioned? I've read that the spinners were more difficult in Ouendan, but by how much?
