Sorry for making another one of these topics... but when it comes to Castlevania games I'm always kind of lost on how Castlevania 64's perceived by the general gamer. I can't remember coming across much - if any - love for this game yet I've not come across opposite scenario. Is this just one of those games that is kind of there and no one really remembers it or is it just forgotten? I can see how it would be/get burred by Metroidvania when that took off but if anyone can tell me how they feel about the game it would kind of help me out.

Also, since we're talking about 3D CV's... I'm have to admit I'm caught a little off guard by the somewhat negative opinions I see for Lament of Innocence. I can't pretend it's prefect but for a 3D Castlevania I thought it was good enough and it was far from a train wreck IMO. My only real gripe is the real-time window because the game should pause when you want to use a potion.
