I heard a rumor that the PS2 version was going to be rereleased on GameCube as a budget title, does anyone know if there's any truth to that?

No idea about the PS2 version being re-ported to GCN, but that $20 price tag for RE4 is even MORE incentive to buy this amazing game if you haven't already.

There are (I think) two new weapons in the PS2 version, but definitely at least one. Some crazy lazer gun. And there's "Seperate Ways", a side story featuring Ada Wong that shows her side of the story for in-game events starting in the village and moving onward. I also heard that the PS2 version was more difficult than the GC version.
Oh, and don't forget the ever-important "exclusive" costumes for Leon and Ashley.
