I went to Video Games Live in Houston last weekend, and you know what?  I liked it.  A lot.  I've read some apathetic or disparaging remarks about VGL here and elsewhere so I wasn't expecting too much, but the concert turned out to be every bit as good as Play! Chicago.  Sure I missed the Japanese composers and some of the other Play! elements, but VGL made up for that with a lot of bonuses like a free signing line, a more balanced program, and other things that just made the whole evening FUN.

So who else around here has been to Video Games Live, and what did you think of it?

I just found out VGL is coming to Boston, and even though I'm a little skeptical about the show in general - mainly because of the cancellations last year - I'd be dumb not to go. So, I'll be attending when it comes to my town.

I'm just going to forget that I missed out on this, else I'll be beating myself up all day.

I can't believe I didn't know this was going on.
