Heads up.  Falcom just announced "Falcom Live 2007" to be performed in Tokyo's duo Music Exchange hall on March 24th in commemoration for Ys' 20th anniversary.  Looks like it will be mainly the same members from their recent Into the Sky concert except with a full band this time (hot!).  According to Falcom's homepage, the track list will include oldies such as "To Make The End of Battle," tracks from the LOH VI, AND new themes from Ys Origin (hot!).  No word on ticket price or sale date.  In addition to this, the SKY trio will be having a mini concert in Akihabara on 12/21 for the launch of Ys Origin.  Only 300 people are allowed to attend this event and they will also be selling limited design tickets for Falcom Live 2007.  I won't be able to attend the mini concert in Akihabara but you'd better believe I'll be at the big concert in March.  Sweet news indeed!

lol, curse you ! XD

Yeah, lots of names we've seen on Falcom's recent productions in the list, but none from the past I could recognize. Oh well, still super exited about this. =p

Interesting fact: There has never been a vocal arrange of "To Make the End of Battle". I wonder if they're going to change that...Or if they're going to use the JDK Band 1 version. Or *gasp* they might have a new arrange of it...

...

My money's on the JDK Band 1 version.

Great news...again. Falcom LIVES!

(wow, it is less than a month until a new Ys game comes out...That hasn't dawned on me yet. Last one turned out pretty good, IIRC).

Aaaaaaaaaaargh I found out just slightly too late that I won't be taking the vacation I thought I would be at the time of this concert and now I can't get that awesome limited ticket thing any more.  *grumbles... a LOT*  Don't suppose anyone who's going ordered an extra or knows if there's any other way to get it?  Speaking of which, who all from here is gonna be there?

Who from all the Falcom nuts visiting this forum is going to this concert?

My girlfriend and I really like the Falcom music, so we just might go... Maybe we can go together and have a nice talk about game music afterwards ;-)

Hmm I am considering this, just because I've never been to a VGM rock concert.  And am quite curious to hear "To Make the End of Battle" live big_smile  So who's in?

What are the chances of Ryo Yonemitsu hanging out in the crowd?

I'd buy a ticket and fly to Japan for chance to get his autograph...Might need a translator.  Definitely want to make it to Japan at some point

5 hours till the concert.  I've been away from these forums for too long, and  I see a few people from here might be going.  I'll definitely be there, so keep an eye out for gaijin. wink

Just a heads up for anyone looking at the CD set: DON'T! It's the originals, not the live editions. I'm sure it's been mentioned elsewhere, but the packaging couldn't be more vague as to what's actually on the album.

Of course, if you haven't had the pleasure of hearing many of the original songs, it's a great compilation. But it isn't anything more than that, unfortunately...

Just curious: Did Midori Kawana sing "Victory!!" live or was it one of the LOHVI girls?

I see VGM World updated that entry.
