Jason Michael Paul Productions, the company behind the "Play" and "Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses" concert series, will begin a new orchestral game music concert tour later in 2013.  Entitled "rePlay", it's being billed the "spiritual successor" to the Play series.  Like Play it will incorporate music from different game series with video accompaniment, the main difference as reported thus far being that this time the concert program is meant to follow a story and will include narration.  Titles mentioned include Metroid, Super Mario Bros, Okami, Bioshock, Elder Scrolls, World of Warcraft, Fable, The Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy.

The debut performance will be this October by the Omaha Symphony in Nebraska, conducted by Play conductor Andy Brick.

I enjoy Paul's production work, and I hope this is a success, both because I want it to continue and because Video Games Live never ended up coming to Boston. It's doesn't look like it ever will either.
