Can anyone translate some details, such as what music will be performed?

This could potentially be awesome.

Basically, it's vocal performances of the latest Legend of Heroes game, Sora no Kiseki.

Tickets go on sale September 7.

Event is on August 15.

Vocalists include Hiroko Yamawaki, Kanako Kotera, Ayako Shibazaki and more.

Doors open at 6, event starts at 6:30.

Seems that pre-booking gets you in for 1,800 yen, while purchasing on the day gets you in for 2,300 yen (with drinks costing 500 yen).

Boo sad

Thanks for providing the requested info, Harry.

While it's not a JDK Band Revival which many hope for, it's still good to see Falcom back putting on some live shows again, even if it is just an exposition for singer's theme songs.

Well, the show could be somewhat interesting though, even without an orchestra/band....
Let's hope it's a success so we might get a chance for a better show in the future!

(like some live Ys Felghana & Napishtim, now THAT would be sweet)

In addition to what Harry already mentioned above, it says "Silver Will, Golden Wings" (銀の意志 金の翼) from Sora no Kiseki SC will be performed, along with tracks from the new Sora no Kiseki vocal album, which is scheduled to come out on the 25th of August (the event is a commemoration of the release of the latter album).

Also, aside from the Sora no Kiseki songs, there will be performances of vocal tracks from the Ys, Gurumin, and Legend of Xanadu games.

Curious, considering one of the vocals for LoH VI SC is a vocal arrangement of the "Silver Will" theme (called "Gin no Ishi Kin no Tsubasa) and there's also the noted Super Arrange version. It really is a great theme overall...It's a good thing it is, since about half of the LoH VI SC score is based off of it. I'd personally just love to have "Whereabouts of the Stars" from the original LOH VI.

If this is all vocal performances, they'll HAVE to do "White Lie in Black" from Xanadu Next. THAT will be interesting...(anyone who's been...um, fortunate enough to hear this will see what I'm getting at).

And who knows...We MIGHT see something of a JDK Band revival if they opt to use the vocal versions of "Release of the Far West Ocean" or "Mighty Obstacle" from Songs of Zemeth. Can't say there's anything else from that album I'm dying to hear again.

That was a tasty treat to come home to. Thanks!

In a stunning turn of cosmic fate, that's my birthday. That must mean that it will be great.

Ramza Jul 10, 2006

Considering I can't be there, all I can hope for is a CD release. tongue

Yeah, I've listened to the LoH VI SC vocal theme many times now, and I am looking forward to the arranged/vocal album release on Aug. 25.

Now if only I could find a site (other than falcom) selling the LoH VI SC OST which comes out next week. Why doesn't VGMworld have it?!

I suppose VGMworld will stock it eventually, but in the meantime could always buy the CD from the Japanese Amazon site.

Edit: Ah, never mind, they don't ship this album outside of Japan. I wonder why, though.

Falcom Newsletter update:  It says they've almost sold out of tickets at the Lawson convenience stores now.

Thankfully, 2 of our fellow STC'ers already have tickets and will be in attendance, so I'll be dishing cash over to both Amazingu and Xanadujin for reporting and merchandising!
Thanks guys!

Quick aftershow comments from Amazingu:

The concert was pretty nice, it was really small-scale though.
Just a small room crammed with like 300 people or something, so there was no space to go wild wink
I didn't know any of the music but there were some good songs there.
Most of the concert was just the three female performers (SKY) being cute though.
Very High Idol level smile

Waiting to hear from Xanadujin, who might have some additional details.

Heh, they're really putting those LOH VI vocals through the ringer...A vocal collection, a karaoke CD, an instrumental CD (aka: The Super Arrange) and a live performance. For the most part they're pretty good...I'd like the chance to hear "Dive Into Your Fate" and "Maybe It Was Fated" live and "Looking Up At The Sky" has been a longtime favorite from the first LOH VI.

Looking forward to more details.

Falcom just put up some photos and a video clip.

Some of the Photos:

http://www.falcom.com/info/staff/img_li … 006_03.jpg

Video: 5 Minutes, 10 MB, wma format

http://www.falcom.com/info/staff/img_li … ve001s.wmv

(The curtain opens 10 seconds into the clip, so don't freak out when you can hear the audio but see nothing but black video during the first bit...)

At 1:16 you can see the guitarist and keyboardist rocking out their parts, and the violin intro at 3:35 is a major highlight to a cool song.

Other than that, it seems rather blah... Certainly is a lot of chatting inbetween songs, and a bit TOO much emphasis on the girls and not enough about the music, but oh well.
