I had to make this thread based on the erm... success of the Vagrant Story remaster thread. *rolls eyes* ;)

So, has anyone listened to both side by side?  I'm curious if this warrants a re-purchase. (I already own both.)

Thanks. :)

I own the remastered version of Valkyrie Profile OST, and it wasn't bad. It certainly sounds less ear piercing on the higher moments, but generally, like Vagrant Story, it's just smoother. Same with the Arrange Album, so I have heard.

I have the original VP arranged version and the VP "remastered" arranged version, and I can't hear a discernable difference in the music.  The music seems clearer and louder in the new one, but the instruments haven't changed.

The liner notes in the remastered version are shorter than the original version.  The original version had a few pages of character profiles, tracklist, and a one-page liner note.  The new one only has the tracklist and a color CG art of Freya on the back cover juxtaposed to a B/W Lezard and one other character in the background.  There are no liner notes by the composer this time.
